April Weeps
April Weeps is a Slovak post-metal band, based in Dunajská Streda. They are known for their heavy riffs, atmospheric melodies, and intense and energetic performances. The band released its first album titled '' Outer Calm, Pain Within'' in 2013 and played with such bands as Epica, Novembre, Draconian, In Mourning, Saturnus and Tristania since then. April Weeds era The band originally formed in 2004 under the name April Weeds. In 2007, they released an unofficial, home recorded demo album titled ''Songs from the Old House''. After playing a few gigs, the constant line-up changes caused the band to go dormant. In 2010, the band went through a reboot and because of their name's similarity with marijuana, changed their name to April Weeps. Dunajská Streda
Dunajská Streda (; hu, Dunaszerdahely; german: Niedermarkt; he, דונהסרדהיי) is a town located in southern Slovakia ( Trnavský kraj). Dunajská Streda is the most culturally significant town in the Žitný ostrov area. The town has a population of 22,730, with ethnic Hungarians forming the 72% majority. Name The name of ''Syridahel'' was first mentioned in 1256. Other early written forms of the name were ''Zeredahely'' (1270) and ''Zredahel'' (1358). Szerdahely means "Wednesday (market)place" in Hungarian and it indicates the town had the privilege to hold a market on Wednesdays (although it was later changed to Fridays). My Dying Bride are an English doom metal band formed in Bradford. Since their inception in 1990, they have released 13 studio albums, three EPs, one demo, one box set, four compilation albums, one live album, and one live CD/DVD release. Along with Anathema and Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride were a forerunner of the death doom metal and gothic metal genres during the early 1990s. These bands comprise "The Peaceville Three" as all were signed to Peaceville Records at the time. ''The Light at the End of the World'' is the sixth album by My Dying Bride, released in 1999. After the more experimental '' 34.788%...Complete'', this album marks a return to the more traditional My Dying Bride doom sound and style of lyrics. It was also the first My Dying Bride release since 1994's '' The Sexuality of Bereavement'' to feature growling vocals, although Aaron Stainthorpe has noticeably changed his style and broadened his range. All guitar parts on the album were recorded by Andrew Craighan, following the earlier departure of Calvin Robertshaw. Following Robertshaw's departure, only Craighan and Stainthorpe remained as founding members of the band. Hamish Glencross was soon after recruited as permanent guitarist. Paradise Lost are an English gothic metal band that formed in 1988 in Halifax, considered to be among the pioneers of the death-doom genre, and regarded as the main influence for the later gothic metal movement.
