''Apparently Unaffected'' is the third album by the Norwegian singer-songwriter Maria Mena, released on November 14, 2005, in Europe. It was re-released in June 2006 in the Netherlands, where it peaked at No. 11. The album spawned four singles: "Miss You Love", "Just Hold Me", "Our Battles", and the final single "Nevermind Me" in early 2008. The album ended up at the #48 position in the year end chart of 2006 in the Netherlands. The album was produced by Arvid Solvang. Maria Viktoria Mena (born 19 February 1986) is a Norwegian pop singer, best known for her singles such as " You're the Only One", "Just Hold Me", "All This Time" which charted in multiple countries. Early life Maria Mena was born into an artistic family. Her father is a drummer. There was a common misconception that her mother is a playwright, but Mena debunked this in an interview. Both Maria and her brother, Tony, are named after characters from Leonard Bernstein's ''West Side Story''. Her mother is Norwegian and her father is an American of Afro-Nicaraguan descent. Her father played in several bands in Oslo, which influenced Mena to write and record her own music. When Mena was nine years old, her parents divorced. Arvid Wam Solvang (born July 14, 1969) is a Norwegian songwriter/producer living in Oslo, Norway. Biography Arvid Wam Solvang was born July 14, 1969, in Kopervik, Norway. After touring Norway for years as a guitarist with a range of different bands, he started a music production company called Viagram. Solvang is known for his work with Maria Mena where he has co-written most of her songs, and produced her first three albums.
