__NOTOC__ Mega Top 30 is a Dutch music chart compiled by SoundAware and broadcast every Saturday from 14:00 - 16:00 on NPO 3FM. It originally started on November 30, 1963, as the Tijd voor Teenagers Top 10. Throughout the years, the chart has had several names and lengths: History The first broadcast in its current format was on Friday May 23, 1969. The show was presented by Joost den Draayer. ''Desmond Dekker & The Aces'' were the chart toppers at that time with "The Israelites". From December 4, 1970, the chart was compiled by the Nederlandse Omroep Stichting, NOS. Den Draayer kept presenting the show until April 2, 1971, when Felix Meurders replaced him. From 1978 until 2005 the year end charts were based on sales. The radio-Broadcasting, broadcast remained on NPO 3FM, Radio 3 and since 5th. December 1985 the chart has been broadcast by the TROS. NPO 3FM
NPO 3FM is a Dutch rhythmic CHR radio station controlled by public broadcaster Netherlands Public Broadcasting, NPO. The vast majority of the songs played on-air are Rock music, rock, Alternative rock, alternative, Indie rock, indie and Pop music, pop, though Dance music, dance and Mega Top 30 tracks may also air at times. History As Radio 3 Launching on 11 October 1965, NPO 3FM was created as Hilversum 3 (later Radio 3) by the Minister for Culture and Social Recreation, Maarten Vrolijk, to counterbalance the popular new Offshore radio, offshore stations such as Radio Veronica. AVROTROS
AVROTROS () is a Dutch radio and television broadcaster that is part of the Dutch public broadcasting system. It was founded in 2014 as the result of a merger between the Algemene Vereniging Radio Omroep (AVRO) and the Televisie Radio Omroep Stichting (TROS). The name AVROTROS has been used for jointly produced programmes since 1 January 2014. Since 7 September 2014, all existing AVRO and TROS programmes have also been broadcast under the name AVROTROS. Building Prior to 2014, the AVRO was housed in the building in Hilversum from 2000, while the TROS operated from the former Christelijk Lyceum, also in Hilversum, from 1970. On 20 June 2012, it was announced that both broadcasters would move into the Wereldomroepgebouw after the merger. The move was completed after a renovation on 1 January 2014. Desmond Dekker
Desmond Dekker (16 July 1941 – 25 May 2006) was a Jamaican ska, rocksteady and reggae singer-songwriter and musician. Together with his backing group The Aces (consisting of Wilson James and Easton Barrington Howard), he had one of the earliest international reggae hits with "Israelites" (1968). Other hits include "007 (Shanty Town)" (1967), " It Mek" (1969) and "You Can Get It If You Really Want" (1970). Early life Desmond Adolphus Dacres was born in Saint Andrew Parish (Greater Kingston), Jamaica, on 16 July 1941. Dekker spent his formative years in Kingston. From a young age he regularly attended the local church with his grandmother and aunt. This early religious upbringing, as well as Dekker's enjoyment of singing hymns, led to a lifelong religious commitment. Nederlandse Omroep Stichting
The Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (; NOS ; English: Dutch Broadcasting Foundation) is one of the broadcasting organisations making up the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system. ''TopPop'' is the first regular dedicated pop music television series in the Dutch language area. The Netherlands broadcaster AVRO aired the programme weekly, from 22 September 1970, to 27 June 1988. Presenter Ad Visser hosted for its first fifteen years. The creator and original director of ''TopPop'' was Rien van Wijk. Many other directors followed: Egbert van Hees, Geert Popma, Henk Renou, Chris Berger, Jessy Winkelman, Wim van der Linden, Bert van der Veer and Charly Noise. ''Top of the Pops'' (''TOTP'') is a British Record chart, music chart television programme, made by the BBC and originally broadcast weekly between 1January 1964 and 30 July 2006. The programme was the world's longest-running weekly music show. For most of its history, it was broadcast on Thursday evenings on BBC One. Each show consisted of performances of some of the week's best-selling popular music records, usually excluding any tracks moving down the chart, including a rundown of that week's singles chart. This was originally the Top 20, though this varied throughout the show's history. The Top 30 was used from 1969, and the Top 40 from 1984. The Music Factory (TMF) was an originally Dutch brand of television and radio channels operated focusing on pop music. It was similar to the American MTV which took over TMF in 2001. TMF operated channels in the Netherlands (TMF Nederland) as well as in the UK with TMF UK and Australia with (TMF Australia). The brand is owned by MTV Networks International (part of the Viacom conglomerate). It shows only pop videos and locally produced live programming in Belgium and likewise with TMF Netherlands before its closure, the British TMF aired some of MTV's and VH1's programmes like '' Cribs'', '' Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica'', ''Hogan Knows Best'' and ''Run's House''. The Dutch Single Top 100 or Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart, based on official physical single sales, legal downloads and since July 2013 streaming and composed by Dutch Charts. It is one of the three official charts, the other two being the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Top 30. The difference is that these charts also include airplay data. The list is especially intended for the music industry and those who take an interest in charts. In Dutch TV programmes the ''Single Top 100'' is often cited, although it has not been broadcast since December 2006.
