Joannes or John ( la, Iohannes; died 425) was western Roman emperor from 423 to 425. On the death of the Emperor Honorius (15 August 423), Theodosius II, the remaining ruler of the House of Theodosius, hesitated in announcing his uncle's death. Nairobi ( ) is the capital and largest city of Kenya. Colin Cameron Davies (10 June 1924 – 8 January 2017) was a Spanish-born prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. Davies was born in Las Palmas, Spain to Arthur and Ellen Mary (née Joyce) Davies, the third in the family of six children. He was ordained a priest on 13 July 1952 in the religious order of the St. Joseph's Missionary Society of Mill Hill. An apostolic prefect or prefect apostolic is a priest who heads what is known as an apostolic prefecture, a 'pre-diocesan' missionary jurisdiction where the Catholic Church is not yet sufficiently developed to have it made a diocese. Although it usually has an (embryonal) see, it is often not called after such city but rather after a natural or administrative (in many cases colonial) geographical area. If a prefecture grows and flourishes, it may be elevated to an apostolic vicariate, headed by a titular bishop, in the hope that with time the region will generate enough Catholics and stability for its Catholic institutions, to warrant being established as a diocese.
