Apostolic Nunciature To Zimbabwe
The Apostolic Nunciature to Zimbabwe is an ecclesiastical office of the Catholic Church in Zimbabwe. It is a diplomatic post of the Holy See, whose representative is called the Apostolic Nuncio with the rank of an ambassador. The Holy See and Zimbabwe established diplomatic relations on 26 June 1980, and Pope John Paul II erected the Nunciature to Zimbabwe on 27 June 1980. Edward Joseph Adams
Edward Joseph Adams (born August 24, 1944) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who has served in the diplomatic service of the Holy See since 1976. He was the apostolic nuncio to Great Britain from 2017 to 2020 and held earlier postings in Greece, Asia, Africa and Central America. Early life Adams was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on August 24, 1944. After his elementary education in Catholic grammar schools, he attended St. Joseph's Preparatory School at Villanova University and St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, both in Philadelphia. Adams was ordained a priest on May 16, 1970, by Cardinal John Krol. Adams graduated from the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy in Rome with a degree in canon law in 1976. Paolo Rudelli (born 16 July 1970) is an Italian archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See who serves as Apostolic Nuncio to Zimbabwe. Biography Paolo Rudelli was born on 16 July 1970 in Gazzaniga in Lombardy, Italy. He comes from Gandino in the Province of Bergamo. On 10 June 1995, he was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Bergamo. He completed his theological studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, where he received a doctoral degree in moral theology and a licenciate in canon law. In 1998 he began his preparation for the diplomatic service at the Pontifical Ecclesiastical Academy. Marek Zalewski (archbishop)
Marek Zalewski (born 2 February 1963) is a Polish prelate of the Catholic Church who works in the diplomatic service of the Holy See. He has been the Apostolic Nuncio to Singapore since May 2018. Biography Marek Zalewski was born in Augustow, Poland, on 2 February 1963 to Jan Zalewski and Klara née Krucynska Zalewska. From 1983 to 1985 he studied at the major seminary in Łomża and from 1985 to 1989 at the metropolitan seminary in Florence, Italy. He was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Łomża on 27 May 1989. George Kocherry (born 4 February 1945) is an Indian prelate of the Syro-Malabar Church who joined the diplomatic service of the Holy See in 1978 and became an archbishop and nuncio in 2000. After serving as apostolic nuncio to Togo, Ghana, and Zimbabwe, he was the nuncio to Bangladesh from 2013 to 2022. Peter Paul Prabhu (20 March 1931 − 10 September 2013) was an Indian Roman Catholic archbishop and diplomat. Born in Chennai, India, Prabhu was ordained to the priesthood on 20 December 1954 for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Madras and Mylapore, India. Giacinto Berloco (born 31 August 1941) is an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church. He served as the Apostolic Nuncio to Belgium and to Luxembourg from 2009 to 2016. Biography Born in Altamura, Italy, on 31 August 1941, Giacinto Berloco was ordained to the priesthood on 19 March 1966 for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Altamura-Gravina-Acquaviva delle Fonti. Patrick Coveney
Patrick Coveney (29 July 1934 – 22 October 2022) was an Irish prelate of the Catholic Church who worked in the diplomatic service of the Holy See from 1966 to 2009. He became an archbishop in 1985 and fulfilled several assignments as Apostolic Nuncio, including stints in Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, New Zealand, and Greece.
