Apollonioi
Apollonioi ( el, Απολλώνιοι) is a former municipality on the island of Lefkada, Ionian Islands, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Lefkada, of which it is a municipal unit. It is located in the southwestern part of the island. Its population was 2,768 at the 2011 census. The seat of the municipality was in Vasiliki (pop. 395). Its area is 124.709 km², comprising about 41 percent of Lefkada Island. Its largest towns are Ágios Pétros (pop. 422), Vasilikí, Sývros (379), and Marantochóri (330). The area features beautiful beaches on the western side of the island, the most famous are in Porto Katsiki and in Ekremnoi. The Porto Katsiki Beach has been voted the second best beach in the world. Vasiliki, Lefkada
Vasiliki ( el, Βασιλική, ''Vasilikí''; formerly Voivoida (Βοϊβόδα, ''Voïvóda'') is a town in the municipal unit of Apollonioi, on the island of Lefkada, Greece. It is situated on the south coast, 4 km south of Agios Petros and 25 km southwest of Lefkada (city). Vasiliki is a well known windsurfing spot during the summer months due to a local thermal wind known amongst windsurfers as 'Eric'. There are often over a hundred windsurfers in the bay at any one time. The area is also popular with other sailing craft and mountain bikers. Several holiday companies operate in Vasiliki providing windsurfing and sailing equipment for their guests to use. Agios Petros, Lefkada
Agios Petros (meaning Saint Peter) ( el, Άγιος Πέτρος) is a town in the municipal unit of Apollonioi in the southern part of the Lefkada Island in Greece. Agios Petros is situated on a mountain slope north of Vasiliki, west of Syvros, and southwest of Lefkada. There are many beaches nearby, with clear blue waters. The village houses are old, but well maintained, with landscaped gardens, which compose an impressive setting that fascinates visitors. Evgiros
Evgiros is a village on the island of Lefkada, in the Ionian Islands of Greece. It is part of the municipal unit of Apollonioi. Location, elevation Evgiros is situated on a hill in the south of Lefkada, at an elevation of . It overlooks the Afales Bay in Ithaca and the northern part of Cephalonia. History Evgiros used to be one of the main villages on the island, with a population of more than 900 as late as 1950. The village was the center of its own municipality, with Heracles' head as its symbol. The local school had more than 80 pupils.
