Antrim (District Electoral Area)
Antrim is one of the seven district electoral areas (DEA) in Antrim and Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland. The district elects six members to Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and contains the wards of Antrim Centre, Fountain Hill, Greystone, Springfarm, Steeple and Stiles.

Antrim And Newtownabbey Borough Council
Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council is a local authority that was established on 1 April 2015. It replaces Antrim Borough Council and Newtownabbey Borough Council. A statutory transition committee was established in 2013 to prepare for the merger. The first elections to the authority were on 22 May 2014 with 73 candidates standing for 40 seats. The authority acted in shadow form until the formal creation of the Antrim and Newtownabbey district on 1 April 2015. Transition committee The statutory transition committee was established in 2013 with a membership of eight councillors each from Antrim Borough Council and Newtownabbey Borough Council. The purpose of the committee was to ensure that the new council would be ready to operate from 1 April 2015; to plan for the period up to and after the election of the shadow council; to arrange the first meeting of the shadow council; and to appoint a chief executive. Elections to Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council, part of the Northern Ireland local elections on 2 May 2019, returned 40 members to the council using Single Transferable Vote. Sian Mulholland
Sian Mulholland (née O'Neill) is a Northern Irish politician who has been an Alliance Party Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for North Antrim since April 2023. Political career Belfast City Council (2015-22) In September 2015, Mulholland was co-opted onto Belfast City Council for the constituency of Ormiston following the resignation of Laura McNamee. David Ford (politician)
David Ford (born 24 February 1951) is a politician in Northern Ireland, who was leader of the Alliance Party of Northern Ireland from October 2001 until October 2016 and was Northern Ireland Minister of Justice from April 2010 until May 2016. He was a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly (MLA) for South Antrim from 1998 to 2018. Early life Ford was born on 24 February 1951 to Irish and Welsh parents and grew up in Orpington, Kent, England. Ford was educated at Warren Road Primary School, Orpington and Dulwich College, London. He spent summer holidays on his uncle's farm in Gortin, County Tyrone, and moved to Northern Ireland permanently in 1969 when he went to study Economics at Queen's University Belfast (QUB). There he joined the university's student Alliance Party grouping. After graduating, Ford took a year out to work as a volunteer at the ecumenical Corrymeela Community in Ballycastle, County Antrim, before starting work as a social worker in 1973. Pam Cameron
Pam Cameron (born 30 December 1971; formerly Lewis, née Pamela Brown) is a Unionist politician from Northern Ireland representing the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP). Cameron has sat in the Northern Ireland Assembly since 2011 as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the South Antrim constituency. Cameron was elected to Antrim Borough Council in 2005 and was elected as the Council's first woman Mayor in 2010.
