Antony Trew
Antony (Francis) Trew, (5 June 1906 in Pretoria, South Africa – 12 January 1996 in Chertsey, United Kingdom) was a South African naval officer and writer. World War II In World War II he served with the South African and Royal Navies in the Atlantic, the Mediterranean and the Western Approaches. As such he was in command of the escort destroyer HMS Walker. Distinguished Service Cross (United Kingdom)
The Distinguished Service Cross (DSC) is a third-level military decoration awarded to officers; and, since 1993, Naval rating, ratings and other ranks of the British Armed Forces, Royal Fleet Auxiliary and the British Merchant Navy have been included.
