Antonio Reyes (basketball)
Antonio Reyes González (born 16 October 1964) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a midfielder. Football career Brought up at local Real Betis, Reyes made his debut for the first team in 1983–84 (15 minutes in a 0–0 home draw against FC Barcelona), but only amassed 25 La Liga appearances across his first three seasons. He played significantly more in the following two, with a career-best 34 games and two goals in 1986–87 as the Andalusians ranked in ninth position; during his link to the club, he also spent one season on loan to fellow league side Elche CF, which ended in relegation. Upon leaving the ''Verdiblancos'' in 1990, Reyes resumed his career in the second division, with brief stints in the third. The 1986–87 La Liga season, the 56th since its establishment, started on August 30, 1986, and finished on June 21, 1987. Real Madrid retained the title, but this time finished just a single point ahead of Barcelona compared to 11 points a year earlier. CP Mérida
Club Polideportivo Mérida was a Spanish football team based in Mérida, in the autonomous community of Extremadura. Having played twice in La Liga ( 1995–96 and 1997–98), the club was dissolved in 2000, due to serious economic debts. Its successor was renamed Mérida UD. History The team founded in 1912 under the name Sportiva Emeritense. It became one of the first teams from Extremadura to play professional football. The club first began playing football in 1943, when it was admitted to Tercera Division. They spent four years there, after which the team was relegated to regional leagues for two years. Merida returned to Tercera division in 1949. Following 12 years in the third tier, Merida was again demoted to the fourth tier in 1961, but only for one year. Segunda División B ( en, Second Division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation. It was below the top two professional leagues, the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga) and the ''Segunda División'', and above the ''Tercera División''.
