Antonio Perera
Antonio Perera Calderón (born 8 June 1997) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Bulgarian First League club Botev Plovdiv. Career Perera was born in Novelda del Guadiana, Badajoz, Extremadura, and represented CD Gévora, CP Flecha Negra and CD Diocesano as a youth. In 2016, after finishing his formation, he moved to Extremadura UD; initially assigned to the reserves in Tercera División, he also featured for the first team in Segunda División B during the campaign. In November 2017, Perera signed a three-year contract with Deportivo Alavés, being assigned to the B-side also in the fourth division. He was a regular starter for the B's during the following years, helping in their promotion to the third level in 2019. On 19 August 2020, Perera signed a new four-year contract with the ''Babazorros'', being immediately loaned to Croatian First Football League side NK Istra 1961 for one year. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. 2018–19 Tercera División
The 2018–19 Tercera División was the fourth tier in Spanish football. It began in August 2018 and ended in late June 2019 with the promotion play-off finals. Competition format *The top four eligible teams in each group would play the promotion playoffs. *The champion of each group would qualify to 2019–20 Copa del Rey. 2023–24 Bulgarian Cup
The 2023–24 Bulgarian Cup was the 42nd official edition of the Bulgarian annual football knockout tournament. It was sponsored by ''Sesame'' and known as the Sesame Kupa na Bulgaria for sponsorship purposes. The competition began on 9 August 2023 with the preliminary round and finished with the final on 15 May 2024. Ludogorets Razgrad were the defending cup winners, which reached the final for second consecutive year. They were defeated there by Botev Plovdiv, which won their fourth cup in their history. As cup winners Botev qualified for the 2024–25 UEFA Europa League first qualifying round. Bulgarian Cup
The Bulgarian Cup ( bg, Купа на България, Kupa na Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian annual football competition. It is the country's main cup competition and all officially registered Bulgarian football teams take part in it. The tournament's format is ''single-elimination'', with all matches being one-legged, except the semi-finals. The competition's winner gets the right to take part in the UEFA Europa Conference League. If the winner has already secured a place through the Bulgarian A Professional Football Group, the team that has come ''fourth'' in the championship substitutes it. The competition has been dominated by Sofia-based teams. The Sofia teams have won together a total number of 65 titles.
