Anton Karlsson (speedway Rider)
Anton Karlsson (born 20 July 2000) is a speedway rider from Sweden. Speedway career Karlsson came to prominence in 2018, when he won the silver medal at the Swedish Under 21 Championship. He also helped Sweden reach the final of the 2018 Team Speedway Junior World Championship. The following year in 2019 he won a bronze at the Swedish U21 event. Karlsson also competed for Sweden in the finals of the 2018 and 2020 Team Junior European Championship. In 2022, for the third time he helped Sweden reach the final of the 2022 Team Speedway Junior European Championship, recording a fourth-place finish and also in 2022 he rode for Griparna in the Swedish Allsvenskan. In 2023, he signed for Västervik Västervik is a city status in Sweden, city and the seat of Västervik Municipality, Kalmar County, Sweden, with 36,747 inhabitants in 2021. Griparna
Griparna is a speedway club from Nyköping in Sweden, who compete in the Allsvenskan. Their home track is at the Nyköpings Motorstadion which is located to the North of Nyköping. History Griparna Speedway was founded in 1949. The team compete in the second tier of Swedish speedway, now called the Allsvenskan (National League). They won Division 2 North in 1987. Västervik Speedway are a motorcycle speedway team from Västervik in Sweden. They were established as Skepparna in 1966 and have raced in the Elitserien, the top league division of Swedish speedway, since 1991, changing their name to Västervik in 1993. They were Elitserien Champions in 2005 and in 2007 they finished runners-up to Dackarna. The team is managed by Peter Helgesson and Marvyn Cox. Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). The 2022 Team Speedway Junior European Championship was the 15th Team Speedway Junior European Championship season. It was organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme and was the second time that the event had an age limit of under 23 years of age. Allsvenskan (literally, "The National League") is the second tier in the league system of speedway in Sweden and currently comprises seven Swedish speedway teams. Until the introduction of the Elitserien in 1982 the Allsvenskan was the highest level of Swedish Speedway.
