Mark Matveyevich Antokolsky (russian: Марк Матве́евич Антоко́льский; 2 November 18409 July 1902) was a Russian Imperial sculptor of Lithuanian Jewish descent. He studied in the Imperial Academy of Arts (1862–68) at St. Petersburg. Pavel Grigoryevich Antokolsky ( rus, Па́вел Григо́рьевич Антоко́льский, p=ˈpavʲɪl ɡrʲɪˈɡorʲjɪvʲɪtɕ ɐntɐˈkolʲskʲɪj, a=Pavyel Grigor'yevich Antokol'skiy.ru.vorb.oga; 1 July 1896, Saint Petersburg, Russian Empire – 9 October 1978, Moscow, Soviet Union) was a Soviet and Russian poet and theatre director. His father was a nephew of sculptor Mark Antokolsky. In the 1930s, Antokolsky worked as a director in the Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow. During World War II, he ran a front theatre and was awarded a Stalin Prize for a long poem about the Germans killing his son. After the war, he managed a theatre in Tomsk. His poem, "All we who in his name..." was written in 1956, the year of Nikita Khrushchev's "secret speech" condemning Stalinism, and widely circulated among student groups in the 1950s. Antakalnis
Antakalnis (''literally'' lt, 'the place on hills', adapted in pl, Antokol) is an eldership in the Vilnius city municipality, Lithuania. Antakalnis is one of the oldest, and largest historical suburbs of Vilnius City. It is in the eastern section of Vilnius, along the left bank of the Neris River, with the river running along the whole western side of the district. The Antakalnis eldership is the second-largest in Vilnius, with an area of . One of the greatest Lithuanian Baroque masterpieces, the Roman Catholic Church of St. Peter and St. Paul, is in Antakalnis, as is Sapieha Palace (''Sapiegų rūmai'').
