Anthony Zizzo
Anthony Zizzo (August 3, 1935 – disappeared August 31, 2006), also known as "Little Tony" and "Little Toes", was an American mobster who was the underboss of the Chicago Outfit. Early life Carlisi Street Crew Zizzo was third in command of the Carlisi Street Crew. In 1992, Zizzo and 10 other Carlisi Street Crew members were prosecuted by the Justice Department for racketeering. Disappearance Zizzo disappeared after leaving his home on August 31, 2006, he was last seen outside a Melrose Park restaurant where his car was found after a missing person's report was made by his wife. He is presumed murdered, although the FBI is also considering the possibility he went into hiding. Melrose Park, Illinois
Melrose Park is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. It is a suburb of Chicago. As of the 2020 census it had a population of 24,796. Melrose Park had long been home to a large Italian-American population. The suburb was the home of Kiddieland Amusement Park from 1929 until 2010 (it closed in September 2009 before it was demolished in 2010 and the sign of Kiddieland was relocated to the Melrose Park Public Library, a Costco warehouse store now stands in its place), the Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Stern Pinball, Inc., the Melrose Park Taste home of the famous Melrose Stuffed Peppers, and the now-defunct Maywood Park horse racing track. Chicago Outfit
The Chicago Outfit (also known as the Outfit, the Chicago Mafia, the Chicago Mob, the Chicago crime family, the South Side Gang or The Organization) is an Italian-American organized crime syndicate or crime family based in Chicago, Illinois, that originated in the city's South Side in the early 1910s. It is part of the larger Italian-American Mafia. Michael Sarno
Michael Sarno (born January 7, 1958) is an American mobster who has been identified as the alleged, current leader of the Cicero street crew, in the Chicago Outfit criminal organization. On February 8, 2012, Sarno was sentenced to 25 years in prison on charges of racketeering. Indictments and first imprisonment On February 7, 1990, Sarno was one of 20 Chicago mobsters named in a 42-count indictment alleging racketeering. Sarno was jailed immediately but in an unusual move, was furloughed for several hours the following weekend to get married. Among the other defendants charged with various crimes in the same indictment were Chicago Outfit leaders Harry Aleman and Rocco Infelice. Sarno was identified in the indictment as being a mob money collector of extortion payments and juice loans and as the owner of a tavern in Cicero, Illinois. Underboss ( it, sottocapo) is a position within the leadership structure of certain organized crime groups, particularly in Sicilian, Greek, and Italian-American Mafia crime families. The underboss is second in command to the boss. The underboss is sometimes a family member, such as a son, who will take over the family if the boss is sick, killed, or imprisoned. Joseph Andriacchi
Joseph Andriacchi (born October 20, 1932) is a Chicago area resident and convicted criminal, considered by that city's Crime Commission to be a high-ranking member of the Outfit, the city's LCN organization. Chicago Outfit career In 1989, the ''Chicago Sun-Times'' reported that Andriacchi had been elevated to being the second-in-command in the Chicago Outfit. The article identified Andriacchi as having two nicknames: "the Sledgehammer"—because of his unsubtle ways as a safe cracker—and "the Builder".
