Anthony Talo
Anthony Talo (born 8 January 1996) is an association football and futsal player from the Solomon Islands. He plays as a goalkeeper for Kossa in the Telekom S-League and the Solomon Islands national futsal team. Club career Talo came through the youth ranks of the Solomon Warriors and made his debut for the club in 2015. Since 2016, he has been a regular for the club. In 2017, he moved to Marist. International career Talo made his debut for the Solomon Islands national futsal team at the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup in an 11-3 loss against Colombia. At that same tournament, he scored a goal to mark the Kurukuru's historic 4-3 win against Guatemala. Colombia National Futsal Team
The Colombia national futsal team represents Colombia in international futsal competitions. It is overseen by the Colombian Football Federation in FIFA competitions and by the Fecolfutsal in AMF competitions. The team's most notable performance in the FIFA Futsal World Cup was at the 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Thailand, where they achieved fourth place. In the Copa América, the regional competition, the best results of the team were achieving fourth place in 2011 and 2015. Futsal Goalkeepers
Futsal is a football-based game played on a hard court smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and indoor football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, it is played on a hard court surface marked by lines; walls or boards are not used. It is played with a smaller, harder, lower-bounce ball than football. The surface, ball and rules favour ball control and passing in small spaces. The game emphasizes control, improvisation, creativity and technique. 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup
The 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the ninth edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament was held in Lithuania. It marked the first FIFA tournament ever hosted by Lithuania and the third Futsal World Cup hosted in Europe; the others being 1989 in the Netherlands and 1996 in Spain. The 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the eighth FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. Guatemala National Futsal Team
The Guatemala national futsal team represents Guatemala in international futsal competitions, such as the World Cup and the CONCACAF Championships, and is governed by the Federación Nacional de Fútbol. In March 2015, the Futsal league, as well as the federation, formed their own body headed by Gerardo Paiz as head of Guatemalan Futsal. Paiz has provided Guatemala with many victories and titles in the last decade. Many believe that his leadership and isolation from the Federación Nacional de Fútbol, a group that most Guatemalans associate with corruption, has benefited futsal in the country. 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup
The 2012 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the seventh FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It took place from 1 to 18 November 2012 in Thailand. An extra four teams (increase to 24 from 20 at the 2008 event in Brazil) were competing at this World Cup.
