Anthony Lino Makana
Anthony Lino Makana is a South Sudanese politician. He was the Speaker of Transitional National Legislative Assembly of South Sudan from 2016 until his resignation in 2019. He was a former Minister of Transport and Roads in the Cabinet of South Sudan. He was appointed to that position on 10 July 2011. He was appointed as the speaker of National Legislative Assembly in August 2016. Makana resigned as speaker on December 8, 2019, after being accused of embezzling funds and approving a $400 million loan from AFREXIM Bank without bringing it to the house. The Transitional National Legislative Assembly is the lower house of the Transitional National Legislature of South Sudan. Composition 2011-2016 Following independence in 2011, the National Legislative Assembly comprises: *all persons who were members of the Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly; and *all South Sudanese who were members of the National Assembly of Sudan, by virtue of their membership in that Assembly. Manasseh Magok Rundial (born 1950) is a South Sudanese politician and former speaker of National Legislative Assembly. Magok is Nuer. Obuch Ojok
Obuch Ojwok Akuo is a politician from South Sudan. He was the speaker of the South Sudan National Legislative Assembly from 2019 to 2021. He is a member of the SPLM who represents Eastern Equatoria. Ojwok is a Pari, an ethnic group in Lafon County, Imatong State. He became speaker on December 16, 2019 after the resignation of Anthony Lino Makana, who was accused of corruption. Ojwok, after becoming speaker, said he wanted to restore the reputation of parliament. The Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM; ar, الحركة الشعبية لتحرير السودان, ''Al-Ḥarakat ash-Shaʿbiyyat liTaḥrīr as-Sūdān'') is a political party in South Sudan. It was initially founded as the political wing of the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA; a key belligerent of the Second Sudanese Civil War) in 1983. South Sudan (; din, Paguot Thudän), officially the Republic of South Sudan ( din, Paankɔc Cuëny Thudän), is a landlocked country in East Africa. The Cabinet of South Sudan is the Executive Branch of the Government of South Sudan. The Cabinet members are appointed by the President and report to the President. Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity (RTGoNU) Under the terms of 2018 Revitalized Peace Agreement that came into effect on 22 February 2020, South Sudan is governed by a Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity (RTGoNU). Sudan People's Liberation Army/Movement
The South Sudan People's Defence Forces (SSPDF), formerly the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA), is the army of the Republic of South Sudan. The SPLA was founded as a guerrilla movement against the government of Sudan in 1983 and was a key participant of the Second Sudanese Civil War, led by John Garang. After Garang's death in 2005, Salva Kiir was named the SPLA's new Commander-in-Chief. As of 2010, the SPLA was divided into divisions of 10,000–14,000 soldiers. Following the Comprehensive Peace Agreement in 2005, the last remaining large and well-equipped militia, the South Sudan Defence Forces (SSDF), under General Paulino Matiep, signed an agreement with Kiir known as the Juba Declaration, which amalgamated the two forces under the SPLA banner.
