Ansty is a village in the Mid Sussex district of West Sussex, England. It lies on the A272 road 1.4 miles (2.2 km) southwest of Cuckfield. It is in the civil parish of Ansty and Staplefield. Ansty has a cricket team (Ansty Cricket Club), 1 football club (Ansty Sports and Social FC) and the Dark Star micro brewery. Ansty And Staplefield
Ansty and Staplefield, previously Cuckfield Rural, is a civil parish in the Mid Sussex District of West Sussex, England, covering an area from the north-west side of Burgess Hill, the whole lying around but mostly to the west of Cuckfield civil parish, from which it was created in 1894 under the Local Government Act 1894. It includes the settlements of Ansty in the south, Staplefield to the north-west and Brook Street to the north-east. It is the largest civil parish in West Sussex, covering an area of , and has a population of 1574 (2001 Census), increasing to 1,756 at the 2011 Census. Haywards Heath is a town in West Sussex, England, south of London, north of Brighton, south of Gatwick Airport and northeast of the county town, Chichester. Southwater
Southwater is a large village and civil parish in the Horsham District of West Sussex, England, with a population of roughly 10,000. It is administered within Horsham District Council and West Sussex County Council. History One of the oldest buildings in the parish is Great House Farmhouse, a listed building at Grade II* built in 1462 from a late medieval structure in the Tudor period just west of the town. In the early 19th century Southwater was predominately a collection of large estates divided into leased farms. Burgess Hill is a town and civil parish in West Sussex, England, close to the border with East Sussex, on the edge of the South Downs National Park, south of London, north of Brighton and Hove, and northeast of the county town, Chichester. The A23 road is a major road in the United Kingdom between London and Brighton, East Sussex, England. It is managed by Transport for London for the section inside the Greater London boundary, Surrey County Council and West Sussex County Council for the section shadowed by the M23 motorway, National Highways (as a trunk road) between the M23 and Patcham, and by Brighton and Hove Council from the A27 to the centre of Brighton. Dark Star is a brewery in Partridge Green, Sussex, England. History Dark Star Brewery was established in 1994, brewing in the cellar of the Evening Star public house in Brighton. The beer ''Dark Star'' was originally made by Pitfield Brewery in north London before its brewer Rob Jones moved to the Evening Star. In 2001 the company moved production to Ansty, West Sussex, before moving again to Partridge Green in 2010. The new brewery has a brew length of 45 barrels and an annual capacity of 20,000 barrels. In February 2018, Dark Star was acquired by London-based brewer, Fuller Smith & Turner, with James Cuthbertson staying on as its managing director. Mid Sussex District
Mid Sussex is a local government district in the English non-metropolitan county of West Sussex, within the historic county of Sussex. It contains the towns of East Grinstead, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill.
