Anri Kawamura (born 15 October 2004) is a Japanese freestyle skier Freestyle skiing is a skiing discipline comprising aerials, moguls, cross, half-pipe, slopestyle and big air as part of the Winter Olympics. Kawamura won three World Cup races in the 2021-22 season and qualified for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Kawamura was leading the moguls standings in the 2021–22 season at the start of the Olympics, after 7 of 8 races. As of mid-January 2022, at the age of 17, she achieved 10 podium finishes in 23 career starts. At the 2022 Olympics, she qualified for Final C (the medal round), but only finished fifth. The 2021–22 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup is the 50th World Cup season in freestyle skiing organised by the International Ski Federation. The season started on 22 October 2021 and will finish on 26 March 2022. This season include six disciplines: moguls, aerials, ski cross, halfpipe, slopestyle and big air. On 1 March 2022, following the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, FIS decided to exclude athletes from Russia and Belarus from FIS competitions, with an immediate effect. Freestyle skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics were held at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou and Big Air Shougang in Beijing, China. The events were held between 3 and 19 February 2022. A total of 13 freestyle skiing events were held. In July 2018, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) officially added three events to the Olympic program: big air for men and women, along with a mixed team aerials event. A total of 284 quota spots (142 per gender) were distributed to the sport, a decline of 4 from the 2018 Winter Olympics. A total of 13 events were contested, six for men, six for women and one mixed. Qualification A maximum of 284 quota spots are available to athletes at the games. A maximum of 30 athletes could be entered by a National Olympic Committee, with a maximum of 16 men or 16 women. The women's moguls competition in freestyle skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 3 February (qualification) and 6 February (final), at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou. Jakara Anthony of Australia won the event, with Jaelin Kauf of the United States taking silver and Anastasia Smirnova, representing the Russian Olympic Committee, bronze. For all of them this is the first Olympic medal. Antony's medal is the first Olympic medal for Australia in women's moguls. The defending champion was Perrine Laffont.
