2021–22 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup
The 2021–22 FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup is the 50th World Cup season in freestyle skiing organised by the International Ski Federation. The season started on 22 October 2021 and will finish on 26 March 2022. This season include six disciplines: moguls, aerials, ski cross, halfpipe, slopestyle and big air. On 1 March 2022, following the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, FIS decided to exclude athletes from Russia and Belarus from FIS competitions, with an immediate effect. Ryan Regez
Ryan Regez (born 30 January 1993) is a Swiss freestyle skier who specializes in skicross. Career Regez grew up in Wengen, has Swiss-British dual citizenship, and is a member of the Wengen ski club. On 15 February 2014, Regez contested his first FIS race. He finished 40th at Watles. In January 2015, he made his European Cup debut in Orcières and won the overall victory in the 2015–16 season and thus secured a place in the main squad. He made his debut in the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup on 5 December in Montafon and achieved 58th place. The 2016–17 season went well, but at the penultimate race in Russia's Sunny Valley, he fell while leading in the 1/8 final and tore his cruciate ligament. Despite this, he finished 30th this season and 136th overall. After this injury, he started again in the European Cup the following season, winning for the second time overall. FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup
The FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup is an annual freestyle skiing competition arranged by the International Ski Federation since 1980. Currently six disciplines are included in world cup: moguls, aerials, ski cross, halfpipe, slopestyle and big air. In the 1980s and 1990s there were also ski ballet and combined, which no longer exist. Races are hosted primarily at ski resorts in North America, the Alps in Europe, with regular stops in Scandinavia, east Asia, but a few races have also been held in the Southern Hemisphere. World Cup competitions have been hosted in 22 countries around the world: Australia, Austria, Belarus, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United States. Bastien Midol
Bastien Midol (born August 3, 1990) is a French freestyle skier. He has won 4 FIS World Cups and won a silver medal at the 2013 FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships. His brother is also a medallist skier, Jonathan Midol Jonathan Midol (born 13 January 1988) is a French freestyle skier and Olympic medalist. He was born in Annecy. Brady Leman
Brady Leman (born October 16, 1986) is a Canadian freestyle skier specializing in ski cross, and the reigning Olympic champion in that discipline following his victory in the ski cross event at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Career He won the opening event in the 2011–12 season after returning from multiple injuries and then finished the year as the second overall ranked male ski cross racer for the year. Leman, a former alpine skier, is noted for his smooth gliding and crisp passing skills. He was part of a Canadian sweep of the medals at the 2010 Winter X Games, where he finished in third place. Brady Leman skis for Elan as well as the Lake Louise Ski Resort. He also won the 2016 X Games Skier X event. Sergey Ridzik
Sergey Sergeyevich Ridzik (russian: Сергей Серге́евич Ридзик, born 25 October 1992, Monchegorsk, Murmansk Oblast, Russia) is a Russian freestyle skier. Competing for Independent Olympic Athletes from Russia at the 2018 Winter Olympics, he won a bronze medal in the ski cross. He replicated this success at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Career Ridzik was an alpine skier but, in 2011, switched to freestyle skiing. He did not qualify for the 2014 Winter Olympics, and after the Olympics was seriously injured and could not compete for several months. On 15 December 2017, he won a World Cup race in Montafon, his only World Cup win by the time of the Olympics. 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

Big Air
Big air is a high-injury-risk sports discipline where the competitor rides a vehicle, such as a motocross motorcycle, a skateboard, a snowboard, or a pair of skis, down a hill or ramp and performs aerial tricks after launching off very large jumps. In most versions, there is one large jump and therefore only one opportunity to perform a trick. It is an extreme version of slopestyle. Competitors perform complex tricks in the air, aiming to attain sizable height and distance as well, all while making every effort to secure a clean landing. Many competitions also require the rider to do a specific trick to win the major prize. The term was coined by French-Canadians because of their love for the extreme nature of the event. Slopestyle
Slopestyle is a winter sport in which athletes ski or snowboard down a course including a variety of obstacles including rails, jumps and other terrain park features. Points are scored for amplitude, originality and quality of tricks. The discipline has its roots in action sports like skateboarding and BMX and has very successfully crossed over into the snow sports worlds of skiing and snowboarding. Skiers use Twin-tip skis for their symmetry since they often go large portions of the course backward (referred to as "switch") and for their balanced weight so as to not destabilize spins. Slopestyle tricks fall mainly into four categories: spins, grinds, grabs and flips, and most tricks done in competition are a combination of these. Halfpipe
A half-pipe is a structure used in gravity extreme sports such as snowboarding, skateboarding, skiing, freestyle BMX, skating, and scooter riding. Overview The structure resembles a cross-section of a swimming pool, essentially two concave ramps (or quarter-pipes), topped by copings and decks, facing each other across a flat transition, also known as a ''tranny''. Originally half-pipes were half sections of a large diameter pipe. Since the 1980s, half-pipes contain an extended ''flat bottom'' between the quarter-pipes. The original style half-pipes are no longer built. Flat ground provides time to regain balance after landing and more time to prepare for the next trick. Ski Cross
Ski cross is a skiing competition which incorporates terrain features traditionally found in freestyle skiing with courses which include big-air jumps and high-banked turns. In spite of the fact that it is a timed racing event, it is often considered a type of freestyle skiing. What sets ski cross apart from other alpine skiing disciplines is that it involves more than one skier racing down the course. Any intentional contact with other competitors like grabbing or any other forms of contact meant to give the competitor an advantage leads to disqualification. Ski cross is a part of the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships, the world championship organized by the FIS for freestyle skiing. Aerial Skiing
Aerial skiing or aerials is a freestyle skiing discipline where athletes ski down a slope to launch themselves off a kicker (a vertically inclined ramp) and perform multiple twists and flips before landing on an inclined landing hill. Aerialists are scored on their jumps based on air, form and landing with their score multiplied by the degree of difficulty of the jump they performed. Internationally, the sport is contested at the FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup, FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships, and the Winter Olympic Games.
