Another One (Mac DeMarco Album)
''Another One'' is the second mini-LP by Canadian singer-songwriter Mac DeMarco released on August 7, 2015 by Captured Tracks. The mini-LP was preceded by the release of four streaming singles on Spotify, "The Way You'd Love Her", "Another One", "I've Been Waiting for Her", and "No Other Heart". The title track was accompanied by a music video directed by DeMarco himself. Background and production ''Another One'' was recorded by DeMarco in his home in Far Rockaway, Queens, New York between tour dates promoting his previous studio album ''Salad Days'' (2014). The songs were written within a week and recorded within the following week and a half. Release and promotion The release of the mini-LP was announced on April 22, 2015. Along with the extended play, 43 tour dates, starting in April and ending in September, were announced. MacBriare Samuel Lanyon DeMarco (born Vernor Winfield MacBriare Smith IV; April 30, 1990) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. DeMarco has released six full-length studio albums, his debut ''Rock and Roll Night Club'' (2012), '' 2'' (2012), ''Salad Days'' (2014), '' Another One'' (2015), ''This Old Dog'' (2017), and ''Here Comes the Cowboy'' (2019). His style of music has been described as "blue wave" and "slacker rock", or, by DeMarco himself, "jizz jazz". Annie Mac (born 18 July 1978), is an Irish DJ, broadcaster and writer. She hosted a variety of shows on BBC Radio 1, including BBC Switch and ''Future Sounds''. She also DJed in various locations, including hosting her AMP (Annie Mac Presents) Lost and Found venues in places like Ibiza. Personal life Annie Mac was born in Dublin, Ireland on 18 July 1978. After attending Wesley College in Dublin, she studied English literature at Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland. Annie lives in Queen's Park, London. She has a son (born May 2013) with her husband DJ Toddla T. She gave birth to her second child on 6 January 2017.
