''Another Dawn'' (Spanish: '' amanecer'') is a 1943 Mexican thriller film directed by Julio Bracho and starring Andrea Palma, Pedro Armendáriz and Alberto Galán.Mora p.66-68 The film's sets were designed by the art director Jorge Fernandez. Plot A politician, Octavio, has discovered damaging information about the regional Governor who has recently crushed a strike at the urging of "foreign interests". Octavio is hunted by the Governor's bodyguards who wish to kill him and recover the documents he has stolen. While hiding in a cinema, Octavio bumps into Julieta who takes him home to hide. Julieta and her husband Ignacio are old friends of Octavio as they had been student activists together. Despite agreeing to help, Ignacio is resentful of Octavio because of the past relationship he had with Julieta. Julio Bracho
Julio Bracho Gavilán (17 July 1909 – 26 April 1978) was a Mexican film director and screenwriter. Bracho was born as ninth of eleven children of Julio Bracho y Zuloaga and his wife Luz Pérez Gavilán. His sister Guadalupe Bracho Pérez-Gavilán became known as Andrea Palma, his brother Jesús became known as theatrical designer and painter, and his brother Toribio, became Jesuit and missionary in China. Two of his cousins were Dolores del Río and Ramón Novarro. The family moved to Mexico City in 1913. He was engaged in modern theater projects in Mexico, he was founding member of the ''Teatro Orientación'', and he founded and organized the ''Escolares del Teatro'' group, Mexico City, in 1931, as well as the ''Trabajadores del Teatro'' group in 1933, and the ''Teatro de la Universidad'' in 1936. Gaspar Henaine (6 January 1927 – 30 September 2011), more commonly known by his pseudonym Capulina, was a Mexican comedian, actor, singer, film producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for partnering with Marco Antonio Campos as the double act Viruta and Capulina and for his subsequent solo career. He was later given the nickname "''El Rey del Humorismo Blanco''" (The King of White Humor), due to his clean, innocent style of comedy.
