Domenico Calcagno (born 3 February 1943) is an Italian prelate of the Catholic Church. He has been a bishop since 2002 and a cardinal since 2012. From 7 July 2011 to 26 June 2018 he was President of the Administration of the Patrimony of the Holy See, where he had served as secretary since 2007. Biography Calcagno was born in Tramontana di Parodi Ligure, in the province of Alessandri on 3 February 1943. After studying arts at the diocesan seminary, he attended the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, earning a degree in dogmatic theology. He was ordained a priest on 29 June 1967 by Cardinal Giuseppe Siri. Carlo Mario Francesco Pompedda (18 April 1929 – 18 October 2006) was an Italian cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church and the Prefect of the Apostolic Signatura for the Roman Curia. He spent nearly fifty years in a variety of posts within the Catholic Church's ecclesiastical court system, from 1955 to 2004. Biography Pompedda was born in Ozieri in Sardinia.
