Amber Anning
Amber Anning (born 18 November 2000) is a British sprinter. She is the British record holder indoors over 200m and she was part of British teams that won medals in the women's 4 × 400 metres relay events at the 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships and 2023 World Athletics Championships. She also won medals at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games and the 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships. Anning competed in college athletics for LSU Tigers track and field, LSU Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks. Personal life Anning was born in London, England and spent her early years in Hove and Australia. She attended Brighton Hove & Sussex Sixth Form College achieving three A's at A-Level. Fraser Anning
William Fraser Anning (born 14 October 1949) is an Australian former politician who was a senator for Queensland from November 2017 to June 2019. Anning is known for holding far-right, nativist, and anti-Muslim views, and has been criticised for his use of the Nazi euphemism for the Holocaust, when he proposed a plebiscite to be the "Final Solution" to "the immigration problem" in his maiden speech. Anning also generated controversy for his statements shortly after the Christchurch mosque shootings in New Zealand, in which he blamed the attacks on "the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate". Anning was elected to the Senate after a special recount was triggered by the removal of One Nation senator Malcolm Roberts. Les Anning
Les "Rimouski Rocket" Anning (March 17, 1927 – January 28, 2008) was an ice hockey player who played mainly in Great Britain during the 1940s and 1950s. He was a member of the British Ice Hockey Hall of Fame. Career Anning was born in Rimouski, Quebec, Canada. He came to England when he was 19 years old and joined the Wembley Monarchs for the 1946–47 English National League season. The following season he split his time between the Monarchs in the UK and the Montreal Royals and Shawinigan-Falls Cataracts in the Quebec Senior Hockey League. Anning moved to the Wembley Lions for the 1948–49 season before moving to the Earls Court Rangers for three seasons. Mary Anning
Mary Anning (21 May 1799 – 9 March 1847) was an English fossil collector, dealer, and palaeontologist who became known around the world for the discoveries she made in Jurassic marine fossil beds in the cliffs along the English Channel at Lyme Regis in the county of Dorset in Southwest England. Anning's findings contributed to changes in scientific thinking about prehistoric life and the history of the Earth. Anning searched for fossils in the area's Blue Lias and Charmouth Mudstone cliffs, particularly during the winter months when landslides exposed new fossils that had to be collected quickly before they were lost to the sea. Raymon Harry Anning ( Chinese: 顏理國, 22 July 1930 – 20 December 2020) was a Commissioner of Police of Hong Kong. In the early 1970s, he was a commander of the Metropolitan Police in Greater London. He was later appointed as HM Inspector of Constabulary for West and South-West England, the British Midlands and Wales. Trevor Sean Anning (born 22 March 1982) is an English cricketer who plays for Devon County Cricket Club. Although Anning has only played two List A matches for Devon, he has been a regular in the Minor Counties Championship and the Minor Counties Trophy. His highest batting score came in his Minor Counties Championship debut against Wiltshire County Cricket Club, scoring 75 whilst batting at number 9 in a partnership worth 129 with veteran Peter Roebuck. His best bowling performance was 7–86 against Hereford in July 2007. Both of Anning's List A matches have come in the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy. Anning Smith Prall
Anning Smith Prall (September 17, 1870 – July 23, 1937) was a 6-term U.S. Representative from New York from 1923 to 1935. He was born in Port Richmond, Staten Island and the first chief commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Prall served as a member and chairman of the FCC from January 15, 1935, until his death in 1937 at his summer home in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Career In his early years Prall was employed as a clerk in a New York newspaper office. Prall attended New York University, studying business. From 1908 until 1918 he was in charge of a real estate department of a bank, while serving as the first president of the Staten Island Board of Realtors from 1915 to 1916.
