Amber Anning
Amber Anning (born 18 November 2000) is a British sprinter. She is the British record holder indoors over 200m and she was part of British teams that won medals in the women's 4 × 400 metres relay events at the 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships and 2023 World Athletics Championships. She also won medals at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games and the 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships. Anning competed in college athletics for LSU Tigers track and field, LSU Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks. Personal life Anning was born in London, England and spent her early years in Hove and Australia. She attended Brighton Hove & Sussex Sixth Form College achieving three A's at A-Level. In 2020, Anning began studying at Louisiana State University on a scholarship. In 2022 she transferred to the University of Arkansas. The 2023 World Athletics Championships ( hu, 2023-as atlétikai világbajnokság), the nineteenth edition of the World Athletics Championships, are scheduled to be held from 19 August to 27 August 2023 in Budapest, Hungary. Katharine Merry
Katharine Merry (born 21 September 1974) is an English former sprinter. She won the bronze medal in the 400 metres at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and was the fastest woman in the world over 400 m in 2001, with her career best of 49.59 seconds. She also represented Great Britain at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and won the 200 metres at the 1993 European Junior Championships. All-America
The All-America designation is an annual honor bestowed upon an amateur sports person from the United States who is considered to be one of the best amateurs in their sport. Individuals receiving this distinction are typically added to an All-America team for their sport. Some sports will have multiple All-America teams and will list the honorees as members of a first team, second team, or third team. As such, All-America teams are composed of outstanding US amateur players. Individuals falling short of qualifying for the honor may receive All-America honorable mention. The designation is typically used at the collegiate level although, beginning in 1957, high school- athletes in football began being honored with All-America status, which then carried-over to other sports like basketball and cross-country running. Dennis Shaver
Dennis Shaver is the current track and field coach at Louisiana State University. Shaver came to LSU in 1995 as an assistant coach. Since his arrival, he has coached 22 Olympians, 6 Olympic medalists, 411 All-Americans, 39 individual National Champions, 49 NCAA event titles and 19 national championship relay teams. He began his college coaching career at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas, in 1981 as an assistant football and track coach. In 1982, he became the head coach for the track team at Hutchinson Community College. He left Hutchinson in 1985 to become the head track coach at Barton Community College, where he had tremendous success. Marilyn Neufville
Marilyn Fay Neufville (born 16 November 1952) is a retired sprint runner who was active between 1967 and 1971. Neufville broke the world record in the 400 m and won four gold medals and one bronze in various regional championships. Born in Jamaica, she emigrated at eight years old to Great Britain. British years Marilyn gained three Women's AAA titles as a junior in the 100 yds and 150 yds in the under 15s category in 1967 and won the 220 yds in the under 17 category in 1968. In 1969, she was second at the Women's AAA Championships behind Dorothy Hyman in the 200 m, where she ran 24.3 seconds.
