Annemiek Padt-Jansen
Anna Maria Catharina (Annemiek) Padt-Jansen (15 August 1921, in Naarden – 18 March 2007, in Bilthoven) was a Dutch harpist and politician. She was a member of the House of Representatives for the Labour Party from June 1969 until 10 May 1971 and again from 14 March 1972 until 7 December 1972. She was also a member of the board of the public broadcasting association VARA. She was a sister of the stand-up comedian . Political Positions During her time in parliament she was focused on children's rights and the emancipation of women and sexual minorities. Despite being a Roman Catholic, she believed that religion did not have a place in public life, and when sworn in as a member of parliament, she chose to take a secular, rather than religious, oath. House Of Representatives Of The Netherlands
The House of Representatives (, pronounced ; commonly referred to as the ', literally "Second Chamber of the States General") is the lower house of the bicameral parliament of the Netherlands, the States General, the other one being the Senate. It has 150 seats, which are filled through elections using party-list proportional representation. Generally, the house is located in the Binnenhof in The Hague, however, it has temporarily moved to the former building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Bezuidenhoutseweg 67 in the Hague while the Binnenhof is being renovated. Naarden
Naarden () is a List of cities in the Netherlands by province, city and former List of municipalities of the Netherlands, municipality in the Gooi region in the Provinces of the Netherlands, province of North Holland, Netherlands. It has been part of the new municipality of Gooise Meren since 2016. History Naarden was granted its City rights in the Netherlands, city rights in 1300 (the only town in the Gooi with these rights) and later developed into a fortified garrison town with a textile industry. Naarden is an example of a star fort, complete with fortification, fortified walls and a moat. The moat and walls have been restored on numerous occasions, most notably during the French era (1795-1814). After the Battle of Leipzig, Battle of Leipzig (1813), the Netherlands were liberated by an allied force of Dutch, Prussian and Russian armies.
