Anneke van Giersbergen & Agua de Annique was the solo project of the former The Gathering vocalist, Anneke van Giersbergen. History The project was announced on 5 June 2007, the same day that both The Gathering and Anneke van Giersbergen issued separate announcements that van Giersbergen would leave the band in August. ''Air'' and ''Pure Air'' (2007–2008) She and her new bandmates laid down some basic tracks for the first album at the Waterfront Studios in Rotterdam and recorded overdubs at The Void in Eindhoven, as well as in her own home studio. Several of these songs were made available on the band's official web site. A track, "Ice Water", has been said to feature a string arrangement by Jeffrey Fayman. Additional vocals for the track "Lost and Found" were done by Kristin Fjellseth, who also wrote the track "Sunken Soldiers Ball". Ruud Jolie
Ruud Jolie (born Rudolf Adrianus Jolie on 19 April 1976 in Tilburg, Netherlands) is the lead guitarist of the symphonic metal band Within Temptation. Early life Ruud is an only child. Growing up, he first initiated himself to music by playing the keyboards, but his passion for music developed in favor of the guitar soon after he watched a video of an Iron Maiden concert. Thus, after he was done with high school, Ruud attended the conservatory for his college education majoring in jazz guitar. He graduated in 1999. Work prior to Within Temptation Ruud started out by playing with several local bands. He joined Brotherhood Foundation, a nu-metal band whom he stayed with for a period of two years. When Brotherhood Foundation was playing at the 1998 "Dynamo" festival in the Czech Republic, Ruud met Within Temptation who were also playing there. Jeffrey Fayman is an American percussionist and composer, best known for his soundtrack work. Biography In 1977, Fayman drummed in Peter Banks' Empire band, the sessions appearing on the archival ''Mark II'' release in 1997. Fayman has collaborated with King Crimson's Robert Fripp on various occasions, starting with the 2000 album ''A Temple In The Clouds'',. Following that release, Fripp performed as a guest on the Steve Roach & Jeffrey Fayman release ''Trance Spirits'' (2002). A later collaboration between Fayman and Fripp was The Human Experimente, re-interpreting early King Crimson music. A single of "21st Century Schizoid Man" was released in 2009 and work was reportedly ongoing on an album, also with Billy Sherwood.
