Anne Kahu
Anne Kahu (also Brownlee and Greenlaw) is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera ''Shortland Street'' who was portrayed by Emmeline Hawthorne from late 2001 until early 2004. The character was killed off in the 2003 cliffhanger. Creation and casting The soap went through a major revamp in 2000 with one of the intentions being a more community based cast with strong family ties. It was decided that the family of Judy Brownlee would be expanded to achieve this. The character of Anne was created to fulfill the role. Emmeline Hawthorne, whose mother, Elizabeth had previously starred prominently, was cast as the role. The character was killed off in the 2003 cliffhanger. Storylines Anne arrived after getting a job as a nurse at Shortland Street, where her adoptive brother, Geoff (Andrew Laing), worked as a doctor. Donna Heka (also Bennett) is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera ''Shortland Street'', who was portrayed by Stephanie Tauevihi from 1997 to mid-2004 and again for a two episode stint in December 2004. Donna arrived in 1997 as a potential love interest for established character Rangi Heremaia ( Blair Strang). What followed, became one of ''Shortland Streets most iconic storylines, with the happy couple discovering they were, in fact, related. The story arc carried on for 2 years when the two realised they were not related and married on the show's 2000th episode. David Wikaira-Paul (born 30 January 1985) played Tama Hudson on New Zealand television series Shortland Street. Biography David joined the cast of Shortland Street in 2001 to play fresh-faced 14-year-old Tama Hudson, a high school student. David himself had already left school and completed a year of tertiary education at Northland Polytechnic. He graduated from the Polytechnic in 2000 with a Certificate in Applied Arts, Music and Drama, having played the lead role in their production of Te Ngaru Nui. Other theatre credits include Late Nights with Tuakau College, and Buggy Wonderland and The Miraculous Fairy Tale with the Kaleidescope Performing Arts Company.
