Anne Borg (dancer)
Anne Borg ( Nicolaisen; 28 September 1936 – 19 December 2016) was a ballet dancer and choreographer. She was appointed ballet director at the Opera from 1970-77, and a second period from 1983 to 1988. She served as rector at the Norwegian National Academy of Ballet from 1991 to 1995. In 1988 she was decorated Knight, First Class of the Order of St. Olav. Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. Odd Borg
Odd Carl Arthur Borg (May 26, 1931 – November 13, 1965) was a Norwegian actor and singer. He was engaged with the Central Theater from 1953 to 1960, and with the National Theater from 1960 until his death. Borg was found dead behind the Amphitheater Stage ( no, Amfiscenen) after the premiere of the play ''Hva skal vi gjøre?'' by Klaus Rifbjerg and Jesper Jensen. As a singer, he recorded the song "Jeg plystrer mens jeg går" (I Whistle While I Walk) on a gramophone record in 1957. It was a Norwegian version of the American hit "Just Walkin' in the Rain." As an actor, he is remembered for roles such as the intolerable daddy's boy and shipowner Rieber-Larsen Jr. in '' Operasjon Løvsprett'', as a naval commander in '' Operasjon Sjøsprøyt'', and the male lead role in '' Støv på hjernen''. The Arts Council Norway Honorary Award ( no, Norsk kulturråds ærespris) is awarded annually by the Arts Council Norway. The prize is awarded annually to a person who has made a significant contribution to Norwegian art and culture. The Norwegian National Academy of Ballet ( no, Statens balletthøgskole) was established in 1979 as a three-year education in ballet. The school was given collegiate status in 1982. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. He took the examen artium in Stavanger in 1949, and a teacher's education in Kristiansand in 1952. He studied philology in Oslo and Bergen, and graduated with the cand.philol. degree in 1957. The Oslo City Art Award (''Oslo bys kunstnerpris'') is given annually for contributions to the arts by the city of Oslo, Norway. The Oslo City Art Award has been awarded every year since 1978 with the exception of 1991 when the prize was not awarded due to a lack of funding. Since inception, the prize has been distributed to 4-5 recipients annually. The prize is "awarded to individuals who in the past or in recent years has made an outstanding achievement in Oslo's art world". The prize consists of a diploma and a monetary amount.
