Anna Jermolaewa
Anna Jermolaewa (born ; 1970) is a Russia-born conceptual artist based in Vienna, Austria since 1989. Her artistic practice incorporates a wide range of media: video, installation, painting, performance, photography, and sculpture. In 1999, her video work ''Chicken Triptych'' was selected by Harald Szeemann to be presented in the Arsenal location of the 48th Venice Biennale. On 16 January 2023, it was announced that Jermolaewa will represent Austria in the 60th Venice Biennale in 2024, exhibiting in the Austrian pavilion in the Giardini della Biennale. Biography Anna Jermolaewa was born into a Jewish-Russian family in Leningrad, USSR. Otto Breicha Award
The Otto Breicha Award for Photographic Arts is awarded every two years by Museum der Moderne Salzburg to photographers from or living in Austria. The Award was first established in 1983 under the name 'Rupertinum Photo Prize'. The Salzburg Museum Rupertinum (which is now part of Museum der Moderne Salzburg) was co-founded by its first director Otto Breicha. The prize was awarded every two years until 2001. After a hiatus the prize was revived in 2007 and renamed "Otto Breicha Prize for Photographic Art" in memory of Otto Breicha's early promotion of photography as an art form, which was still not very popular at the time. It was reconceptualized so that it is not longer only awarded for pure photography, but also recognizes the role of photography in media contexts. Traiskirchen is a town in the district of Baden in Lower Austria in Austria. It is 20 km south of Vienna, in the Thermenlinie region, known for its wine and heurigers. Traiskirchen is home to the Traiskirchen Lions basketball team. The town has the oldest public astronomical observatory in Lower Austria. Wien Westbahnhof (Vienna West station) is a major Austrian railway station, the original starting point of the West railway (''Westbahn'') and a former terminus of international rail services.
