Anna Carolina Laudon
Anna Carolina Laudon (born March 12, 1971) is a typographic designer and graphic designer. Educated in Fine Art at Gerlesborgsskolan in Stockholm, Laudon earned a master's degree in graphic design at HDK School of Design and Crafts at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden, where she made her first font. She is fascinated in social topics such as Feminism, Human Issues, Intersectionality and Global Communication. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, Carolina Laudon studied Book history, Intellectual properties and digital information, and Practical Design Research. She followed a higher education teacher training at Linnaeus University. For seven years, Laudon taught typography and type design at Konstfack, The University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Gerlesborg School Of Fine Art
The Gerlesborg School of Fine Art ( sv, Gerlesborgsskolan) is an art school located in the village of Gerlesborg, south of Hamburgsund in Tanum Municipality, Bohuslän, Sweden. The school also has a branch in Stockholm and holds courses in Provence, France. History The Gerlesborg School of Fine Art was founded in 1944 by the painter Arne Isacsson. Hans Fromén, art historian, and Jöran Salmson, artist, were also teachers at that time. The activities grew fast and Isacsson and Fromén bought the boarding-house in Gerlesborg. In 1948, the college had its first course in Provence, France, in collaboration with Georg Suttner. At the beginning of the 1950s, the college was really established and the basis of the currently important artistic and cultural centre was laid, both nationally and internationally. Konstfack, or University of Arts, Crafts and Design, is a university college for higher education in the area of art, crafts and design in Stockholm, Sweden. History Konstfack has had several different names since it was founded in 1844 by the ethnologist and artist Nils Månsson Mandelgren as a part-time art school for artisans, under the name "Söndags-Rit-skola för Handtverkare" ("Sunday Drawing School for Artisans"). It is the only retail store allowed to sell alcoholic beverages that contain more than 3.5% alcohol by volume. Alfred John Fairbank CBE (12 July 1895 – 14 March 1982) was a British calligrapher, palaeographer and author on handwriting. Fairbank was a founding member of the Society of Scribes and Illuminators in 1921, and later became its honourable secretary. He was involved in the foundation of the Society for Italic Handwriting in 1952; his work and 1932 textbook ''A Handwriting Manual'' were influential on the italic script handwriting taught in British schools. His portrait was painted by Anna Hornby. For Penguin Books he wrote ''A Book of Scripts'', on writing systems used throughout the world.
