Christian Anker (19 August 1917 – 13 December 1988) was a Norwegian businessperson. He was born in Kristiania, and spent his career in the family company P. Schreiner sen. & Co with 37 years as director. He retired in 1978. He also served as board chairman of P. Schreiner sen. & Co, chaired daughter companies such as Staal & Jern and Andr. Grønneberg, was a board member of Kværner and the Royal Norwegian Yacht Club, and supervisory council member of Kreditkassen. He was a board member of Selskabet for Oslo Byes Vel from 1966, succeeded Arno Berg as chairman in 1970 and stepped down in 1978. Johan Anker
Johan August Anker (26 June 1871 – 2 October 1940) was a Norwegian sailor and yacht designer who competed in the 1908 Summer Olympics, in the 1912 Summer Olympics, and in the 1928 Summer Olympics. Herman Anker
Herman Anker (15 July 1839 – 9 August 1896) was a Norwegian school teacher and educationalist. He was born at Rød Manor in Halden, a son of wholesaler Peter Martin Anker. He was the brother of Christian August Anker, and father of Katti Anker Møller and Ella Anker. He went to the Latin School at Fredrikshald and took school graduation in 1857. He attended the University of Christiania earning his theological degree in 1863. As a theological student in Copenhagen, he had met Grundtvig and became introduced to his thought on education and the development of the folk high school movement. In 1864 along with Olaus Arvesen, he founded Sagatun Folk High School at Hamar. This was the first folk high school in Norway. Ferdinand Osvald Conrad Anker (12 December 1876 – 23 April 1954) was a Norwegian businessperson. Pre-war career Anker was born in Christiania, attended commerce school and resided in Germany and France between 1897 and 1899. In 1899 he started his own company, trading in iron, steel and other construction metals. He later expanded the company with the selling of agricultural machinery. Erik Anker (15 October 1903 – 15 August 1994) was a Norway, Norwegian yacht racing, sailor and businessperson. Early life and Olympics He was born in Berg, Østfold as a son of Johan Anker. Eize Willem (Ed) Anker (born 30 June 1978) is a former member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the ChristianUnion. Since 26 May 2014 he has been an alderman of Zwolle.
