Anita Ford
Anita Ford (born October 3, 1947) is a Canadian curler and curling coach from Regina, Saskatchewan. She is known as the alternate and later coach of the Sandra Schmirler team. She is a two-time (, ) and two-time (, ). In 1999, she was inducted into Canadian Curling Hall of Fame together with all of the Sandra Schmirler team. Curling at the 1998 Winter Olympics took place at Karuizawa, who had hosted the equestrian events at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Michelle Englot
Michelle Englot (born January 22, 1964 in Montmartre, Saskatchewan; formerly known as Michelle Ridgway and Michelle Schneider); is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. She currently plays second on Team Brooklyn Stevenson. She is a nine-time provincial champion skip. Career Englot started curling at age twelve, and represented Saskatchewan at the 1983 Canada Winter Games. Englot won her first Saskatchewan Scott Tournament of Hearts provincial championship in 1988, she defeated Kathy Fahlman 10–0 in the final. This qualified Englot for her first Tournament of Hearts national championship. At the 1988 Scott Tournament of Hearts, she finished with a 9–2 record, but lost in the semi-final to Heather Houston of Ontario. The 2008 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canada's national women's curling tournament was held February 16–24, 2008 at the Brandt Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan. The winner was the 2005 champion team from Manitoba, under skip Jennifer Jones. The 1998 Scott Tournament of Hearts Canadian women's national curling championship, was played February 21 to March 1 at the Agridome in Regina, Saskatchewan. The home province of Saskatchewan would be represented by two teams, as the Sandra Schmirler rink was the defending champions team Canada.
