	Anima (play) ''Her Soul'' (''Anima'' in Italian) is the first play by Italian playwright Amelia Pincherle Rosselli, the grandmother of Italian poet Amelia Rosselli. The play received national acclaim and the Italian state gave the play a national prize. It was first performed in Turin on October 29, 1898 at the Gerbino Theater, starring Clara Dell Guardia. picture info	Amelia Pincherle Rosselli Amelia Pincherle Rosselli (16 January 1870 – 26 December 1954) was an Italian writer. The daughter of Giacomo Pincherle Moravia and Emilia Capon, she was born Amelia Pincherle Moravia in Venice. Her family were wealthy non-practising Jews. Her nephew Alberto Moravia was also a writer. She married Giuseppe Emanuele "Joe" Rosselli (1867–1911) in 1892. The couple had three sons; her sons Carlo and Nello became an anti-fascist activists. The couple moved to Vienna where her husband continued his studies in music. Her play ''Anima'', staged in Turin in 1898, won a literary prize. The family moved to Rome and then Florence. The couple separated in 1903. Her son Aldo was killed during World War I. Her other two sons, Carlo and Nello, were exiled because they were opposed to fascism; they were later assassinated in 1937. 	Amelia Rosselli Amelia Rosselli (28 March 1930 – 11 February 1996) was an Italian poet. She was the daughter of Marion Catherine Cave, an English political activist, and Carlo Rosselli, who was a hero of the Italian anti-Fascist Resistance—founder, with his brother Nello, of the liberal socialist movement " Justice and Liberty." He and his brother were assassinated by La Cagoule, secret services of the Fascist regime, while the extended family was living in exile in France in 1937. The family then moved between England and the United States, where Rosselli was educated. She continued to speak Italian with her grandmother, Amelia Pincherle Rosselli, a Venetian Jewish feminist, playwright, and translator from a family prominent in the Italian Risorgimento, the movement for independence.
