''Ania Movie'' is the fourth studio album by Polish singer Ania, released in 2010. Background The album consists of cover versions of Ania's favourite movie and TV series themes, including music from '' MASH'', '' About a Boy'', ''Across 110th Street'' or '' Deep Throat II''. The album was officially confirmed as the last retro-oriented record in Ania's discography. ''Ania Movie'' was initially to be released on 22 March, but due to technical problems the date was postponed. It debuted at #1 position in Polish albums chart and went Platinum in Poland. The album was promoted by Ania Movie Tour. Anna Monika "Ania" Dąbrowska (), usually referred to as Ania (), is a Polish singer, songwriter, and composer performing pop music, born 7 January 1981. Ania rose to stardom in 2004 with the release of '' Samotność po zmierzchu'' which was met with positive critical and commercial reception. The second album, '' Kilka historii na ten sam temat'', was her first to fully incorporate retro style. Ania went on to explore the 1960s aesthetics on two more albums as well as in her visuals and personal image. She is one of the most nominated artists to Fryderyk, the most important music award in Poland, and has been awarded eight times. Ania has released five studio albums, with four of them reaching number one position in Polish albums chart and four going Platinum. Paul Frederic Simon (born October 13, 1941) is an American musician, singer, songwriter and actor whose career has spanned six decades. He is one of the most acclaimed songwriters in popular music, both as a solo artist and as half of folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel with Art Garfunkel. "Strawberry Fields Forever" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon–McCartney. It was released on 13 February 1967 as a double A-side single with "Penny Lane". It represented a departure from the group's previous singles and a novel listening experience for the contemporary pop audience. While the song initially divided and confused music critics and the group's fans, it proved highly influential on the emerging psychedelic genre. Damon Michael Gough (born 2 October 1969), known by the stage name Badly Drawn Boy, is an English indie singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Gough chose his stage name from a character in the show ''Sam and his Magic Ball'', which he saw on TV at a party in Trafford, Greater Manchester, in 1995. Before he thought of using this name he made some business cards, each one unique, with a printed picture of a drawing by his nephew and a small collage by Gough. John Alfred Mandel (November 23, 1925June 29, 2020) was an American composer and arranger of popular songs, film music and jazz. The musicians he worked with include Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Anita O'Day, Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Diane Schuur and Shirley Horn.
