Angeli Bayani (born November 13, 1977) is a Filipina actress. She is best known for starring in Philippine art-house and independent films notably those by Lav Diaz's ''Melancholia'' (2008), '' Century of Birthing'' (2011), and ''Norte, the End of History'' (2013) for which she won the 2014 Gawad Urian Award for Best Actress. The Tiyanak (also Tianak or Tianac) is a vampiric creature in Philippine mythology that takes on the form of a toddler or baby. Although there are various types, it typically takes the form of a newborn baby and cries in the jungle to attract unwary travelers. Once it is picked up by an unfortunate passerby, it reverts to its true form and attacks the victim.
