Capellini
Capellini (, literally "little hairs") is a thin variety of Italian pasta, with a diameter ranging from . It is made in the form of long, thin strands, similar to spaghetti. Capelli d'angelo (, literally "angel hair"—hence, "angel hair pasta" in English), is even thinner, with a diameter ranging from . It is often sold in a nest-like shape. Capelli d'angelo has been popular in Italy since at least the 14th century and is known for its delicate, light texture. Due to its thinness, it is best suited for soups or dishes with light sauces, such as those made with seafood or vegetables. It is also a popular choice for dishes with Asian-inspired flavors, as it can easily absorb the flavors of the accompanying ingredients. Cabell D'àngel
Cabell d'àngel ( ''cabello de ángel''; literally "angel's hair") is a transparent threaded jam made from Siam pumpkin (''Cucurbita ficifolia'') pulp and white sugar. It originated in Mallorca but its use has spread to the rest of Spain and some countries in the Americas. Uses Cabello de ángel can be used simply as a pumpkin jam spread on slices of bread, but it is mainly used to stuff pastries, as ensaïmades, pastissets and coques. Preparation The pumpkin is boiled in water until it falls apart into fibres. This pulp is cooked in sugar syrup with slow and frequent stirring. In Mallorca, it is baked instead of being boiled, intensifying the flavour. The jam can be seasoned with cinnamon or citrus zest. It is best when prepared in the spring, once the pumpkins have fully matured. See also * ''Cucurbita ficifolia'' * List of spreads This is a list of spreads. Angel Hair (folklore)
Angel hair or siliceous cotton is a sticky, fibrous substance reported in connection with UFO sightings, or manifestations of the Virgin Mary. It has been described as being like a cobweb or a jelly. It is named for its similarity to fine hair, or spider webs, and in some cases the substance has been found to be the web threads of migrating spiders. Reports of angel hair say that it disintegrates or evaporates within a short time of forming. Angel hair is an important aspect of the UFO religion Raëlism, and one theory among ufologists is that it is created from "ionized air sleeting off an electromagnetic field" that surrounds a UFO. Sightings There have been many reports of falls of angel hair around the world. Angel hair was reported at the Miracle at Fatima on 13 September and 13 October 1917.Fernandes and d'Armada, Heavenly Lights 2005 p. 83-103 The most widely reported incidence occurred in Oloron, France in 1952, when "great flakes" were reported as falling from a nearl ...
