Angel Eyes (Kiki Dee Album)
''Angel Eyes'' is the eighth studio album by English singer Kiki Dee, released by Columbia in 1987. The album was reissued by EMI in 2008 on CD with six bonus tracks. Four singles were released from the album. Preceding its release was " Another Day Comes (Another Day Goes)" in 1986, which was released in the UK, Europe and Australasia. Written and co-produced by David A. Stewart, it failed to reach the top 100 of the UK Singles Chart, stalling at number 117. The following three singles, "I Fall in Love Too Easily", "Stay Close to You" and "Angel Eyes", were all released in the UK in 1987, but also failed to reach the top 100. Background ''Angel Eyes'' was Dee's first album since 1981's '' Perfect Timing''. Speaking to the '' Daily Record'' in 1987, she commented, "If this record isn't a success, I'll just keep on making them until I do break into the charts again. Hal Lindes
Hal Andrew Lindes is an American–English guitarist and film score composer. In 1979, he played guitar with the new wave group Darling. Signed to Charisma Records, they released the single "Do You Wanna" (written by Lindes) and published the album ''Put It Down To Experience'' the same year, before breaking up. Lindes is best known for his work as a full-time member of British rock band Dire Straits from 1980 until 1985. Dire Straits (1980–1985) Lindes became a full-time member of Dire Straits at the end of 1980, shortly after the release of the group's third album, ''Making Movies''. He replaced original co-founding member and rhythm guitarist David Knopfler. Dean Garcia
Dean Garcia (born 3 May 1958) is an English multi-instrumentalist musician, best known as a member of the alternative rock duo Curve from 1990 to 2005. He also released solo work and collaborated with many other artists. Biography Garcia was born in London, England, from a Hawaiian, Irish and English background. He had played in some small bands when he auditioned for Eurythmics. He had played bass guitar as part of Eurythmics' live band in 1983–84 and on two of their studio albums, ''Touch'' and '' Be Yourself Tonight''. Dean Garcia and Toni Halliday were introduced to each other by David A. Stewart from Eurythmics. The pair formed an ill-fated group named State of Play in the mid-1980s before parting ways, embarking on a no less ill-fated solo career (Halliday) and further stints as a backing musician (Garcia), and then reuniting for a more long-term partnership in Curve. Alan Edward Gorrie (born 19 July 1946 in Perth) is a Scottish bassist, guitarist, keyboardist and singer. He is a founding member of the Average White Band and remains one of two original members in the group's current line-up (Onnie McIntyre being the other). Joseph Hughes is a British bassist and songwriter, best known for being a member of the punk band the Flys and the new wave duo the Lover Speaks. Background Hughes began his musical career in the mid-1970s as bassist in the band Midnight Circus. In 1976, the band evolved into the punk group the Flys, which also featured Neil O'Connor and David Freeman. David Freeman is a British singer, musician and songwriter, best known for being a member of the new wave duo The Lover Speaks during the 1980s. Background Freeman was born in Ilford, Essex, on 25 September 1957 and moved to Coventry at the age of 15. During the mid-1970s, he began his musical career as guitarist in the band Midnight Circus. In 1976, the band evolved into the punk group The Flys, with Freeman providing guitar and vocals. The ''Evening Express'' is a daily local newspaper serving the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. History It was first published in November 1879. It was a tabloid during the 1930s to the 1950s until it resumed as a broadsheet in November 1958, six days a week. By September 1989, The Saturday edition returned to a tabloid with the broadsheet formula during the weekdays. It became a tabloid six days a week in February 1995. There was also a Saturday night paper called the Green Final which ended in June 2002 after many years in which it was printed on green paper instead of the usual white.
