Angband (band)
Angband is a Persian power metal/progressive musical group, formed in 2004 in Tehran. Band history Angband was formed in 2004 in Tehran by Mahyar Dean, a classically trained musician and author who is known for writing books about the bands Death and Testament. Angband was originally conceived as a progressive metal/instrumental project, but with the inclusion of singer Ashkan Yazdani they headed in a more power metal/progressive metal vein. Once Ramin Rahimi joined the band as drummer, the band was able to record their first full-length album, which was titled ''Rising from Apadana''. Mahyar Dean played the bass parts as well as the guitars but shortly after the album was released, M. Halaji joined the band as a full-time bassist. After the release of the first album, Ramin Rahimi, who is an experienced percussion player, signed a deal with ARC Music for a solo project. Tehran

Control Denied
Control Denied was a progressive metal band formed by death metal musician and Death founder Chuck Schuldiner. History The band started in 1996 as Schuldiner wanted to create a more melodic style than was possible with Death. The project was interrupted by Death's release ''The Sound of Perseverance'' in 1998, but finally the debut album ''The Fragile Art of Existence'' was released in 1999. A second album, tentatively titled ''When Man and Machine Collide'', was partly recorded, but the death of Schuldiner in 2001 put the recordings on hold. Remaining band members had expressed a wish to complete and release the material, though Eric Greif stated that the recordings would not be completed.
