Ane Brun
Ane Brun (; born Ane Brunvoll on 10 March 1976) is a Norwegian songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist of Sami people, Sami origin. Since 2003, she has recorded ten albums, eight of which are studio albums of original material (including a collection of duets), an acoustic album, and a covers album; she has also released three live albums, two compilations, one live DVD, and four EPs. She has lived in Stockholm, Sweden, since 2001, where she writes, records, and runs her own label (Balloon Ranger Recordings). Molde () is a town and municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Romsdal. Teitur Lassen (, 4 January 1977) is a Faroese musician, composer, singer-songwriter and producer. Syd Matters
Syd Matters is a French band fronted by composer Jonathan Morali. The other band members are Jean-Yves Lozac'h, Olivier Marguerit, Remi Alexandre and Clement Carle. The name Syd Matters comes from the slight modification of the names of two Pink Floyd members: Syd Barrett and Roger Waters. 2001–2005: Jonathan Morali Syd Matters is also the pseudonym of the band's frontman, Jonathan Morali. Morali was born in Paris on 22 May 1980. He started his performing career playing at small bars until winning a contest by French magazine Les Inrockuptibles, and therefore signing a recording contract with Third Side Records. Ronald Eldon Sexsmith (born January 8, 1964) is a Canadian singer-songwriter from St. Catharines, Ontario. He was the songwriter of the year at the 2005 Juno Awards. He began releasing recordings of his own material in 1985 at age 21, and has since recorded seventeen albums. He was the subject of a 2010 documentary called '' Love Shines''. Early life Sexsmith grew up in St. Catharines and started his own band when he was 14 years old. Career Sexsmith was seventeen when he started playing at a bar, the Lion's Tavern, in his hometown. He gained a reputation as "The One-Man Jukebox" for his aptitude in playing requests. However, he gradually began to include original songs and more obscure music, which his audience did not favour. ''A Temporary Dive'' is the second studio album by the Norwegian singer-songwriter Ane Brun, initially released in Norway and Sweden on 7 February 2005. The album debuted at No. 1 in her native Norway. The track "Song No. 6" features the Canadian singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith and also appears on her ''Duets (Ane Brun album), Duets'' album. It was recorded at an after-show party following their performances at the Storsjöyran festival in Östersund, Sweden. The track "Balloon Ranger" was said by Ane to be analogous to her troubles learning the English language, or rather how she sometimes comes up with nonsense words that have no inherent meaning.
