Andy Goodwin
Andy Goodwin (born 29 June 1963) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Richmond and Melbourne in the Australian Football League The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. Goodwin didn't start playing football until the age of 18. He began his career at Wandin, which recruited him after he attended a wedding at the club. In 1986 he made some reserves appearances for St Kilda. The following year he had a stint at Box Hill, then made it into the seniors at Richmond. He spent five seasons with Richmond and then joined Melbourne, via the 1992 Pre-season Draft. After two seasons at Melbourne, Goodwin moved to Tasmania, appointed playing coach of Devonport. Richmond Football Club
The Richmond Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers, is an Australian rules football team playing in the Australian Football League (AFL). Between its inception in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond in 1885 and 1907, the club competed in the Victorian Football Association (VFA), winning two premierships. Richmond joined the Victorian Football League (now known as the AFL) in 1908 and has since won 13 premierships, most recently in 2020. Richmond's headquarters and training facilities are located at its original home ground, the Punt Road Oval, which sits adjacent to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), the club's playing home since 1965. Richmond traditionally wears a black guernsey with a yellow sash. The club song, " We're From Tigerland", is well known for its "yellow and black" refrain. Devonport Football Club is an Australian rules football club based in Devonport, Tasmania. The club currently competes in the North West Football League (NWFL). The club previously competed in the Northern Tasmanian Football League, but from 2009 it joined the newly reformed Tasmanian State League, where it played until withdrawing before the 2018 season. It has an alliance with the Hawthorn Football Club, which plays in the Australian Football League. Early Australian rules football in Box Hill – 1903 to 1935 Organised Australian rules football within the municipality of Box Hill can be traced back to the year 1903. In that year Mr EFG Hodges, the proprietor of the "Reporter" newspaper, founded the "Reporter District Football Association".
