Andrzej Niewulis
Andrzej Niewulis (born 21 April 1989) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for II liga club Zagłębie Sosnowiec, which he captains. Career In June 2010, he was loaned to Ruch Radzionków from Jagiellonia Białystok. He returned one year later. In July 2011, he was loaned to Wigry Suwałki. Robotniczy Klub Sportowy Raków Częstochowa Spółka Akcyjna (commonly referred to as Raków Częstochowa, or simply Raków) is a Polish professional football club, based in Częstochowa, that competes in the Ekstraklasa, the top tier of national football league system. History Sports club "Racovia" was established in 1921 in the village of Raków. The club dissolved in 1925 due to lack of registration. In 1927, the club was reactivated under the name of the Robotniczy Klub Sportowy (Workers Sports Club) Raków. A year later, the village became a district of Częstochowa. The club operated under the patronage of the Polish Socialist Party and was financially supported by the Częstochowa steelworks. In 1937 the club was promoted to class A. The ''Piłka Nożna'' Magazine Plebiscite ( pl, Plebiscyt Piłki Nożnej) is an annual plebiscite organized by the magazine journalists of '' Piłka Nożna'' (literally "Foot Ball"), the Polish football magazine. Participants choose the best player, best newcomer, best team, best coach and best foreign player in Polish football. The title of Polish Footballer of the Year has been awarded in Poland since 1973. The first player to be crowned was Kazimierz Deyna, midfielder for Legia Warsaw, while Mirosław Bulzacki was best newcomer. In 1982, Zbigniew Boniek became the first Polish footballer in a foreign club to receive this distinction. Before 1973, similar polls were conducted by Polish weekly newspaper ''Sport'' out of Katowice, but less frequently. 2021 Polish Super Cup
The 2021 Polish Super Cup was the 31st Polish Super Cup, an annual Polish football match played between the reigning winners of the Ekstraklasa and Polish Cup. The Ekstraklasa champions Legia Warsaw faced Polish Cup winners Raków Częstochowa. Raków played their first ever Super Cup match, while Legia was playing to win their fifth Super Cup. Cracovia were the defending champions, but failed to qualify to the match indicated. The match finished with a 1–1 draw after regular time. There was no extra-time played. Raków won 4–3 on penalties. Polish Super Cup
The Polish Super Cup (, ) is an annually held match between the champions of the Ekstraklasa and the Polish Cup winners or, if the Ekstraklasa champions also win the Polish Cup, the Cup's runners-up. As of 2021, the Polish Super Cup has been played 31 times. The most successful club is Lech Poznań, who won 6 times. The most common participant are Legia Warsaw, as they played fourteen final games and have lost their eight following finals since 2012. Unlike in Polish Cup, there is no extra time played in the competition, therefore in case of a draw after regular time match goes straight into a penalty shoot-out. Raków Częstochowa are the current holders of the trophy. I liga ( pl, Pierwsza liga, ), currently named Fortuna I liga due to its sponsorship by Fortuna, is the men's second professional association football division of the Polish football league system, below the Ekstraklasa and above the II liga via promotion/relegation systems. Run by the Polish Football Association (PZPN) since its inception on 30 May 1948. The league was renamed from Second League (II liga) to First League (I liga) in 2008. The 2022–23 Ekstraklasa (also known as PKO Ekstraklasa due to sponsorship reasons) is the 97th season of the Polish Football Championship, the 89th season of the highest tier domestic division in the Polish football league system since its establishment in 1927 and the 15th season of the Ekstraklasa under its current title.
