Andrei Leonidovich Lamov (russian: Андрей Леонидович Ламов; born 9 March 1986) is a Russian ski-orienteering competitor and world champion. He is a six-time World Champion. Cherepovets
Cherepovets ( rus, Череповец, p=tɕɪrʲɪpɐˈvʲɛts) is a city in Vologda Oblast, Russia, located in the west of the oblast on the banks of the Sheksna River (a tributary of the Volga River) and on the shores of the Rybinsk Reservoir. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 312,310, making it the most populous city in the oblast. Etymology The origin of the word "Cherepovets" is a subject of much debate among the local historians. According to one version, the city supposedly received its name from the word "skull" (russian: череп, ''cherep''). In antiquity, a pagan sanctuary was there in honor of the god Veles on the hill at the confluence of the Sheksna and Yagorba Rivers. The top of the hill was called the "skull." Another version suggests that the word "Cherepovets" originates from the name of the tribe "Ves" (), who inhabited the Sheksna's banks. Ski orienteering (SkiO) is a cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skiing endurance Winter sport, winter racing sport and one of the four orienteering disciplines Sport governing body, recognized by the International Orienteering Federation, IOF. A successful ski orienteer combines high physical endurance, strength and excellent technical skiing skills with the ability to navigate and make the best route choices while skiing at a high speed. 2017 Winter Military World Games
The 3rd CISM World Winter Games (russian: Зимние Всемирные военные игры 2017) were held in Sochi, Russia from 23 to 27 February 2017. Host selection and venues Sochi was chosen as the host city for the 3rd Winter Military Games at the 70th general assembly of the International Military Sports Council in Kuwait City, Kuwait in 2015. Hochfilzen is a town and municipality in the Kitzbühel district of the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is located in the Pillersee valley 5 km east of Fieberbrunn. Population was 1,147 in 2016.
