Andrew McLardy
Andrew Ronald McLardy (born 20 January 1974) is a South African professional golfer. McLardy was born in Triangle, Zimbabwe to Scottish parents. He had a successful amateur career, including representing South Africa twice in the Eisenhower Trophy, before turning professional in 1997. He joined the Southern Africa Tour, now the Sunshine Tour, where he has accumulated five wins. In 1998, McLardy qualified for the European Tour via qualifying school. He finished inside the top 100 on the Order of Merit in both his first two seasons, before he moved to the United States to try his hand at the PGA Tour. He finished tied for fifth at the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament in December 2000, to earn a card for the 2001 season. However, he was largely unsuccessful during his rookie season, and spent 2002 and 2003 on the second tier Nationwide Tour. Triangle, Zimbabwe
Triangle is a small town in Masvingo Province, Zimbabwe, and is located 125 km south-east from Masvingo, between Ngundu Growth Point and Chiredzi. Nic Henning
Nic Henning (born 26 April 1969) is a South African professional golfer. Professional career Henning states he had "no choice" but to become a professional golfer as he was born into a big golfing family; his father, Graham Henning, and three of his uncles were professional golfers. He qualified for the Sunshine Tour before the 1992–93 season. His best performance during his early years was a runner-up performance at the Zimbabwe Open at the beginning of the 1993–94 season. Henning qualified for the European Tour before the 1994 season. He did not play well, recording only one top-10 and did not come close to keeping his card. He returned to South Africa where he played for the remainder of the 1990s and recorded a number of top-10s before finally winning the 1999 Vodacom Players Championship. The 1996 Eisenhower Trophy took place 14 to 17 November on the Masters and Legends courses at Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club near Manila, Philippines. It was the 20th World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 47 four-man teams. The best three scores for each round counted towards the team total. Australia won the Eisenhower Trophy for the third time, finishing 11 strokes ahead of the silver medalists, Sweden. The 1994 Eisenhower Trophy took place 6 to 9 October on the Albatros course at Le Golf National and on La Vallée course at La Boulie near Versailles, France. It was the 19th World Amateur Team Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 45 four-man teams. The best three scores for each round counted towards the team total. Initially each team played one round on each of the two courses. The leading 24 teams then played two further rounds at Le Golf National while the remaining teams played two rounds at La Boulie. The United States won the Eisenhower Trophy for the first time since 1982, finishing 11 strokes ahead of the silver medalists, Great Britain and Ireland. The WGC Invitational was a professional golf tournament that was held in the United States. Established in 1999 as a successor to the World Series of Golf, it was one of three or four annual World Golf Championships (WGC) until 2021, when the number of WGC events was reduced to two. Under sponsorship agreements, the WGC Invitational was titled as the WGC-NEC Invitational (1999–2005) and the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational (2006–2018). The WGC Match Play, currently titled as the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play for sponsorship reasons, is a professional men's golf tournament that has been held since 1999. The Vodacom Championship was an annual golf tournament on the Sunshine Tour.
