Andrew Kilcullen
Andrew Kilcullen (born 18 March 2000) is a dual player of Gaelic games, i.e. hurling and Gaelic football, who plays for Sligo Championship club Easkey and at inter-county level for the Sligo senior hurling team. Born in Easkey, County Sligo, Kilcullen first played competitive football and hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Easkey club. He was a part of club's senior hurling team who after an absence of a number of years reformed in 2018, and he has won three Sligo senior hurling championship medals with Easkey since then. He also helped his club to their first ever Connacht Junior Club Hurling Championship in 2022 scoring the winning point in the final and also helped his club reach the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship Final. Kilcullen was also the top scorer in the 2022–23 All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship scoring 4-32 across 4 games. All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship
The All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship is an annual inter-county club hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) since 2002-03 for eligible hurling clubs. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their county club championships. The final, usually held in early February, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during the winter months, and the results determine which county's team receives the cup. The championship has always been played on a straight knockout basis whereby once a team loses they are eliminated from the series. In the present format, it begins in October with provincial championships held in Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster, with the four respective champions contesting the subsequent All-Ireland series with the British champions. 2022 Christy Ring Cup
The 2022 Christy Ring Cup is the 18th staging of the Christy Ring Cup since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 2005. The cup began on 9 April 2022 and ended on 21 May 2022. London returned to the competition after a 2 year hiatus due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games. Kildare replaced 2021 champions Offaly in the competition, having come last in the Joe McDonagh Cup in 2021 while Mayo were promoted into the competition, having won the Nicky Rackard Cup in 2021, replacing Roscommon, who finished last in 2021. The 2022 Christy Ring Cup is played on a Round-Robin basis. The counties who finish in the top two places shall qualify for the final, with the winner being promoted to the Joe McDonagh Cup. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. The Nicky Rackard Cup (; often referred to as the Rackard Cup) is the fourth tier of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. Each year, the champion team in the Nicky Rackard Cup is promoted to the Christy Ring Cup, and the lowest finishing team is relegated to the Lory Meagher Cup.
