Andrew Foster (born 16 March 1972, in Stoke-on-Trent) is a former tennis player from Great Britain. The right-hander reached the fourth round of Wimbledon in 1993, in only his second appearance at the All England Club. There, he posted his first ever Tour wins over Thomas Enqvist, Luis Herrera and Andrei Olhovskiy. His run ended in the round of 16 at the tournament, losing to the eventual winner, Pete Sampras. Andrei Stanislavovich Olhovskiy (russian: Андре́й Станисла́вович Ольхо́вский; ; born 15 April 1966) is a former tennis player from Russia, who turned professional in 1989. Career Olhovskiy represented the Soviet Union at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul and Russia at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, where he reached the quarterfinals as a wild card before falling to Brazil's Fernando Meligeni. The right-hander won two career titles in singles (Copenhagen, 1993 and Shanghai, 1996) and 20 titles in doubles, French Open (1993) and Australian Open (1994) champion in mixed doubles. Olhovskiy reached his highest ATP singles ranking on 14 June 1993, when he became world No. 49, and his highest doubles ranking of No. 6 (31 July 1995). The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) is the governing body of the men's professional tennis circuits – the ATP Tour, the ATP Challenger Tour and the ATP Champions Tour. It was formed in September 1972 by Donald Dell, Jack Kramer, and Cliff Drysdale to protect the interests of professional tennis players, and Drysdale became the first President. Luis-Enrique Herrera (born 27 August 1971) is a Mexican former professional tennis player. Career Herrera was Mexico's national champion in the 12s, 14s and 16s junior events. He partnered Mark Knowles in the Boys' Doubles at the 1989 French Open and they finished runners-up. He broke into the top 100 for the first time in 1991, after some good performances on the ATP Tour. Herrera reached the semi-final of the Seoul Open and the quarter-final in Washington. En route to the Washington quarter finals he defeated John McEnroe. He also won the gold medal at the 1991 Pan American Games, held in Cuba. Thomas Karl Johan Enqvist (born 13 March 1974) is a Swedish former professional tennis player. He reached the final of the 1999 Australian Open – Men's singles, 1999 Australian Open and won a total of 19 singles titles, including three ATP Tour Masters 1000, Masters titles. He has a career high ATP world singles ranking of No. 4, achieved on 15 November 1999. Tennis career Throughout his career, Enqvist finished four seasons ranked inside the top 10 and won at least one ATP title for six consecutive years. 1993 Wimbledon Championships – Men's Singles
Pete Sampras defeated Jim Courier in the final, 7–6(7–3), 7–6(8–6), 3–6, 6–3 to win the gentlemen's singles tennis title at the 1993 Wimbledon Championships. It was the first of an eventual seven Wimbledon titles for Sampras, an all-time record shared with William Renshaw until 2017 when Roger Federer won his eighth title. Andre Agassi was the defending champion, but was defeated in the quarterfinals by Sampras. This marked Ivan Lendl's final Wimbledon appearance; he lost in the second round.
