Andres Kollist
Andres Kollist (born 30 January 1948 in Tartu) is an Estonian chemist, librarian, politician and activist. In 1971 he graduated from Tartu State University in chemistry. After graduating he worked at Estonian SSR Academy of Sciences. His main field of research has been polygalactanes in red algae. 1989-1993 and since 2008 he is a member of Tallinn City Council. 1995-2000 he was the CEO of Citizenship and Migration Board. 2000-2001 he was the rector of Audentes Higher Business School (). Since 2004 he is the head of Tallinn University Academic Library. Tartu

Tallinn University Academic Library ( et, Tallinna Ülikooli Akadeemiline Raamatukogu) is a research library in Estonia with many fields of knowledge, except construction and agriculture. It is located in Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia. The library was founded in April 1946 as the Central Library of the Estonian Academy of Sciences. The main building of the Tallinn University Academic Library was designed by architects Uno Tölpus and Paul Madalik and was built in 1963. Although the library is relatively young, the Library of St. Olaf's Church (founded in 1552) makes up the oldest part of the collections, including 56 incunables dating back to the 15th century and thousands of volumes published between the 16th and 19th centuries.
