Andrei Bărbulescu
Andrei Bărbulescu (16 October 1909 – 30 July 1987) was a Romanian football midfielder who played for Romania at the 1938 World Cup. He also played ice hockey, representing the national team at the 1947 Ice Hockey World Championships. Football career Club career Andrei Bărbulescu was born on 16 October 1909 in Slatina, Romania and he started playing football at the junior squads of Venus București in 1924. In 1927, he went to play for Juventus București where he made his debut in senior football on 6 April 1930, coach György Hlavay using him all the minutes in a 2–2 with Maccabi București from the regional championship. The team won the regional championship and qualified for the national championship, Bărbulescu playing in the 4–2 win over Mihai Viteazul Chișinău from the semi-finals but Hlavay did not use him in the 3–0 victory with Gloria Arad from the final, as the club won the first national title in its history with Bărbulescu making a total of thre ... Slatina, Romania
Slatina (, bg, Слатина) is the capital city of Olt County, Romania, on the river Olt. It is located in the south of Romania, on the eastern side of the river Olt, in the historical region of Muntenia. The population was 70,293 in 2011; the urban area has around 85,000 inhabitants. Constantin Rădulescu (footballer, Born 1896)
Constantin "Costel" Rădulescu (5 October 1896 – 31 December 1981) was a footballer and manager from Romania who rose to prominence in the 1920s and 1930s. At one time or another Rădulescu had been associated with the Romania national team as either coach, manager or administrator within the Romanian Football Federation between 1923 and 1938. First World War activity and playing career Rădulescu served as an officer for the Romanian Army during World War I at the front in the Battle of Mărăști between 1916 and 1918 in which he had received injuries to his right arm. In 1919 he featured as a goalkeeper for the Romanian army team at the Inter-Allied Games held at the Pershing Stadium, in Paris. Gloria CFR Galați was a football club based in Galaţi, Galați County, Romania. It was founded in 1932 and dissolved in 1970. History The club was founded in 1932 January 1, at the initiative of the railroad workers from Galați, after the merger of ''Șoimii Gloria'' (founded in 1927) with ''CFR''. The initial colours of the jersey's were yellow-blue. The club's initial name was ''Asociația Sportivă și Culturală'' (Cultural and Sports Association). Until 1936 the team plays in the districtual championship after which it promotes to the Divizia C. Ferenc Plattkó
Ferenc Plattkó (born in Budapest, Hungary, 2 December 1898, died Santiago, Chile, 2 September 1983), also known as Ferenc Platko or Francisco Platko (in Spain his mothers maiden name "Kopiletz" has been appended according to local customs) was a Hungarian footballer and manager of Austrian origin. During the 1910s and 1920s he played as a goalkeeper for Vasas SC, WAC Vienna, KAFK Kula, MTK Hungária FC, FC Barcelona, and Recreativo de Huelva. He subsequently worked as a coach in Europe and South America, most notably with FC Barcelona, Colo-Colo, River Plate, Boca Juniors and Chile. Platko was an early FC Barcelona legend and was a team-mate of Paulino Alcántara, Josep Samitier and Sagibarba. His bravery as a goalkeeper was immortalized by Rafael Alberti in the poem ''Oda A Platko''. After retiring as a player he returned to the club as a coach on two occasions (1934–35, 1955–56). The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. Asociația Fotbal Club Gloria Arad, also known as AFC Gloria Arad, or simply as Gloria Arad is a Romanian football club based in Arad, Arad County, currently playing in the Liga VI. The club was originally founded in 1913 by Dr. E. Veliciuiu and the colors were from the beginning yellow and blue. Mihai Viteazul Chișinău was a football club from Chișinău, Kingdom of Romania. This is the most titled club in the interwar Bessarabia from Chișinău. Along with Fulgerul Chișinău is the only team that reached the semifinals in Romania interwar league. History The club was founded in 1920 by brothers Vâlcov (Vasile, Colea, Petea and Volodea), under the name of "Viteaz". In 1925 the name was changed to "Mihai Viteazul Chișinău".
