Andrea Lekić
Andrea Lekić ( sr-cyr, Андреа Лекић; born 6 September 1987) is a Serbian handballer for Ferencvárosi TC and the Serbian national team. Career In 2013 Lekić was chosen IHF World Player of the Year. She was also one of the candidates for 2011 IHF World Player of the Year award. She is the main organizer of the “Andrea Lekic” handball academy for children, which debuted successfully in 2013, and she has serious expansion plans in the future. She graduated from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management and received the title Bachelor of Economy, and she studies at the Faculty of Sports. Lekić was given the award of ''Honorary Citizen'' of the cities of Győr, Hungary and Vrnjačka Banja, Serbia. Honorary citizenship is a status bestowed by a city or other government on a foreign or native individual whom it considers to be especially admirable or otherwise worthy of the distinction. Liga Națională (women's Handball)
The Liga Națională is a league of professional women's handball league teams in Romania. Run by the Romanian Handball Federation, the competition is also known as the Liga Florilor MOL and is contested by sixteen teams. The National Handball League is Romania's top-level domestic women's handball-league club competition. The team with the most Liga Națională championships is SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea with twenty. 2015 Bucharest Trophy
The 2015 Bucharest Trophy was the second edition of the Bucharest Trophy held in Bucharest, Romania from 21 to 24 August as a pre-season international women's team handball tournament for clubs. The most recent runners-up of the EHF Champions League edition (Larvik HK) have been also invited but withdrew before making a debut due to season's fixtures. The Bucharest Trophy ( ro, Trofeul București) is a pre-season international women's team handball tournament for clubs, held each year in Bucharest, Romania. The competition is hosted by Liga Naţională club CSM Bucharest at the Sala Polivalentă and governed by the rules and regulations of the IHF. It is currently contested by six teams. World Women's Handball Championship
The IHF Women's Handball World Championship has been organized by the International Handball Federation since 1957. European teams have won every time except 1995 where South Korea won as the first team outside Europe and 2013 where Brazil won as the first American team. The biggest winners are Russia and Norway with four titles each. Nine teams participated in the first championship, this number has grown in steps to 32 (from 2021). In 1977 a B-tournament was introduced and later in 1986 a C-tournament which served as qualification for the real championship or A-tournament. The Nemzeti Bajnokság (, "National Championship"), also known as NB I, is the top level of the Hungarian football league system. The league is officially named OTP Bank Liga after its title sponsor OTP Bank. UEFA currently ranks the league 28th in Europe. Twelve teams compete in the league, playing each other three times, once at home, once away, and the third match is played at the stadium that the last match was not played at.
