2015 Bucharest Trophy
The 2015 Bucharest Trophy was the second edition of the Bucharest Trophy held in Bucharest, Romania from 21 to 24 August as a pre-season international women's team handball tournament for clubs. The most recent runners-up of the EHF Champions League edition (Larvik HK) have been also invited but withdrew before making a debut due to season's fixtures. The whole tournament was aired on Digi Sport 1, Digi Sport 2 and Digi Sport 3. Cristina Georgiana Vărzaru (born 5 December 1979) is a Romanian retired professional handball player who last played for CSM București. She was a member of the Romanian national team. Biography Vărzaru participated at the 2000 Summer Olympics where Romania finished seventh. She received a silver medal at the 2005 World Championship and a bronze one at the 2010 European World Championship. She won the Champions League in 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2016, first three with Viborg HK and the last with CSM București. Cristina Georgiana Neagu (; born 26 August 1988) is a Romanian professional handballer who plays as a left back for CSM București and the Romanian national team. Often considered the best player in the world and rated by many in the sport as the greatest of all time, Neagu is the only female handball player in history to win four IHF World Player of the Year awards (in 2010, 2015, 2016 and 2018). Katarina Bulatović
Katarina Bulatović (born 15 November 1984) is a retired Montenegrin handball player that played the right back position. Career Internationally she represented Serbia and Montenegro and Serbia, before opting to play for Montenegro in 2011. She was third best goalscorer of the EHF Women's Champions League in the three editions, 2010–11, 2011–12, 2013–14. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where the Montenegrin team won the silver medal, and Bulatović was top scorer with 53 goals and also voted into the All-star team. She has also competed at the 2012 European Women's Handball Championship, where the Montenegrin team won the gold medal, and Bulatović was top scorer with 56 goals and also voted into the All-star team.
