Andrea Favilli (sculptor)
Andrea Favilli is an Italian-born sculptor, designer, and co-founder of Favilli Studio - a multi-disciplinary design firm based in South Pasadena, California. Biography Andrea Favilli was born in Rome, Italy March 8, 1963. His early art education was with his father Riccardo Aldo Favilli, who worked as an art director at the famed Cinecittà Studios. When Andrea was 7 years old, his family moved from Italy to Redondo Beach, California. He graduated from Bishop Montgomery High School in 1981 and from the Art Center College of Design in 1986. The Walt Disney Studios, located in Burbank, California, United States, serves as the corporate headquarters for The Walt Disney Company media conglomerate. The Transpacific Yacht Race (Transpac) is a biennial offshore yacht race held in odd-numbered years starting off the Pt. Fermin buoy in San Pedro, California and ending off Diamond Head in Hawaii, a distance of around . In even-numbered years the Pacific Cup race starts out of San Francisco and is run by the Pacific Cup Yacht Club. Started in 1906 by Clarence W. Franklin G. Wells (March 4, 1932 – April 3, 1994) was an American businessman who served as president of The Walt Disney Company from 1984 until his death in 1994. Life and career Wells was born in Coronado, California and traced his ancestry back to the ''Mayflower''. He attended Pomona College, which he left as Phi Beta Kappa in 1953. Wells was a recipient of a Rhodes Scholarship, through which he obtained a BA at Oxford University. Widely considered one of the finest and most successful filmmakers of his era, King was nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Director, and directed seven films nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
