Andha Atit
''Andha Atit'' is a Bengali thriller drama film directed by Hiren Nag and produced by Asim Sarkar. The film was released on 7 July 1972 in the banner of Usha Films, starring Uttam Kumar, Supriya Devi, Kali Banerjee and Swarup Dutta. The music director was Shyamal Mitra. Plot Rakhal Das is a poor employee of the Postal department who is in severe need of money for the treatment of his only son. As a last resort, Rakhal takes the mail bag and drops it from a running train so that he can get it later. At the same time, a municipal van drops all the garbage there. He cannot find the bag or money so he goes to a moneylender named Dhananjay Das but he finds him dead and the police arrest him for the case of murder and theft. Years later, an excavation is going on and the said mail bag is found. A mystery begins from an old letter which was recovered from the garbage. Gita Dey (5 August 1931 – 17 January 2011) was an Indian actress in Bengali cinema, theatre and Bengali folk theater. She became a stage artist at the age of 6 years. She came to the film industry in 1943. Her first film release was ''Ahuti'' (1941) as a child actress. She acted in over two hundred Bengali language films and over two thousand stage shows. She acted in the movie ''Teen Kanya'' under the direction of Satyajit Ray and Rittik Ghatak's '' Meghe Dhaka Tara, Subarnarekha, Komal Gandhar, Kato Ajanare''. Bankim Ghosh (22 October 1922 — 3 June 1992) was a veteran actor of Bengali film and theatre personality. Early life Ghosh was born in 1922 in Kolkata, British India. He passed Matriculate examination from Oriental Seminary and B.Com. from City College in 1938. He was a good athlete in student life. Ghosh won the Bengal Boxing Championship for five years continuously. He joined and performed in various theatre groups like ''Gananatya'', ''Ananda Bharati'', ''Rupkar''. Swarup Dutta
Swarup Dutta (22 June 1941 – 24 July 2019) was a Bengali actor. His son Saron Dutta is a director in Bengali film industry. Early life Dutta was born in famous Dutta family of Hatkhola, Kolkata in 1941. In 1958 he passed Matriculation from the South Point School and completed I.A. from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira. Dutta graduated in economics from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. Career During his school days Dutta came into contact with veteran actor Utpal Dutt. He also performed with Utpal Dutt on stage. First breakthrough of his career is Apanjan, a popular drama film of Tapan Sinha released in 1968. This movie won the National Film Award. Shyamal Mitra (14 January 1929 – 15 November 1987) was an Indian versatile playback singer and music director along with Hemanta Mukherjee and Manna Dey.
